Be more cryptic and vague, please we are enjoying the wild goose chase!
I don't think we are allowed to talk about spoilers here so thats why he is talking like that. But I have to agree that EE just isn't very good. Very flavorful yes but by the time it becomes useful you could have just won with a Devil's Play or something else of the sort.
There actually is a deck apparently emerging called "Unexpected Rage" that's makes an interesting use of Borborygmos Enraged. You Farseek until play Unexpected Results, hopefully top decking Omniscience. Then you just play Enter the Infinite, then play Borborgymos Enraged, and then just throw all your lands at your opponent. I'm supposed to play-test against a friend of mine who's building it soon.
Nothing against your friend but this concept isn't exactly new
I run a BG aggro-ish deck. Him and Garruk, Primal Hunter have crazy synergy. The most I have ever gotten from him was 12 cards but that was with help from Dreg Mangler as well.
This is the deck that i'm currently running, but anytime I face aggro they are just shutting me down before I can do anything. All that others have been telling me is Tragic Slip. Although I feel like i'm going to need more than just that. I like the idea of using things like Grisly Salvage to help out Deathrite Shaman but I can't find room for it. Some advice would be greatly appreciated.
I love my Fleshbag Marauder so much! I used to run a deck with him that gave him many forms of undying and cards that returned him to my hand. My opponents never had creatures
So I made your deck in cockatrice and messed around with it. Most of your original cards are in there but I did add a couple of things. If you don't like Grisly Salvage then Jarad's Orders could be used if you like that one better. Then as far as I know I am the only one main decking Veilborn Ghoul but I like him better than Slitherhead for food for Lotleth troll. I really don't want to tell you how to build your deck but some enchantment removal may be nice. I would recommend Golgari Charm. Let me know what you think.
I have posted this before but I guess it's still relevant, a good magic player told me "Whenever you are playing don't play to win. Play to not lose" By that he meant you could drop your bomb on this turn and swing for lethal next turn but your opponent may have mana open to stop that. So play differently in that situation.
Well two things to start off with. First how much have you played this deck? Or have you not played it at all? Tell us the things that you enjoy playing. Because we can tell you all you want but we can't get you to change your mind if you find something fun. Next, you could probably drop to 20-22 lands.
At an FNM I was playing against a uw deck that used Runechanter's Pike as its win condition. I lost the first game due to bad draws but on game two I noticed my opponent wasn't playing his cards correctly. He was using Jace, Architect of Thought's -2 and pitching the cards that he didn't pick into his graveyard. Then he was counting things like detention sphere to go towards his Runechanter's Pike. Then finally he kept flashing back think twice but still counting it towards his pike. Now thinking about it I probably should have called the Judge on him but I would have felt like a jerk.
But I run 4 Demigod of Revenge in my Mono black control deck as well as my reanimator deck. You can build around him if you want but most of the time I just end up using him as an extra. His ability doesn't need to go off for him to be good...you still have a 5/4 with flying and haste for 5. I would say thats a pretty good deal.
I want to build a more casual deck for when I face newer players and pack rat seems like a fun card. The only thing i could think of to help him out is Veilborn Ghoul so i can keep discarding creatures. Besides that maybe some scavenge? I'm really not sure but I would like to hear your ideas if there are any.
I checked out a few other decks that ran him but all of them were rat tribal and I would rather stay away from that.
