Multiplication's pic is sort of an in-joke lolsorry 'bout that...hmm, so there needs to be a funny pic coming up? Let's see...

Just an aside: some of these cards are intended to be playable, I just am having fun with their flavor, like this one here (who's flavor has nothing to do with the ability) :

And others are (somewhat)playable, but just with a stupid name/picture:

I know the wording is a bit off...but this is the humor thread, so I hope no one minds, lol.

Hmm, I don't know if I can do a flip card, but if anything, I'll make two Tookie cards (one "evil" and one "good").

But here's another home-grown card of mine...

After a long time away, I decided to return to the forums, and what better first post back than one that should make a few people laugh?

Basically, the premise of this thread is that I'm showing some humorous and very fake cards that I created, and in the future, I'll take requests too. So without further ado, here's my first one...

Oh yes, there are plennnnnnnty more where that came from Wink

I've had my current avatar for a while, and after asking around, decided to just post a flat-out request thread here. My current avy is still only 50 x 50, which is small compared to Salvation's size limit of 100 x 100. So I have an attachment here of everything that I want in the avatar, including the album covers, an animated GIF skull, and 2 rectangular logos with a height of 100 that would need to be scrolled (like my current avy's does). If anyone could make an avatar similar to my current one, just with the attached images, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The immolation seems interesting. In reference to 'Nessie', as it were, why does it have islandwalk if it's unblockable, pray tell? It seems slightly pointless.

Nice call, thanks for catching my stupidity! I guess I got caught up in making a really flavorful card, and added Islandwalk without even thinking. I'll change it right away, thanks again!

    -MV2 :fingers:

EDIT: I fixed up Nessie, and added a new ability instead:

    Loch-Ness Monster '1UUUU'
    Legendary Creature- Serpent
<CARD> cannot be countered, is unblockable, and cannot be the target of spells or abilities.
Whenever <CARD> attacks, you may draw a card.
If <CARD> is dealt damage, you may negate it and remove <CARD> from the game until the end of turn.
    3/3
    Rare
    ***/306

It's last ability keeps in flavor with its elusiveness :D.

    Thanks again, Chin_Yisou!

Even though my favorite block is Invasion, I still would rather play T2, because it's nice when a deck, or certain card rotates out, never to bother me again. Here's looking at you, Astral Slide, Psychatog, and Orim's Chant :D.

In my opinion, the other 3 entries couldn't even hold a candle to Istanbul's card. It's interesting, fun, and pretty good as well. And you gotta love the flavor text :D.

I voted for Cr!s!s, but only for flavor purposes. There was waaayyy too much on the card, but the abilities of the enchantment made sense with "Uneasy Alliance" as its name.

I say yes. Simply put, Salvation is friendly, relaxed, and I think everyone's been enjoying themselves here more than on 'News, I sure have been. 'News was once a great site, and who knows? It might rise to prominence again. But right now, I think Salvation is not only here to stay, but the best Magic board on the net bar none.

@Darksteel Underpants: I fully agree wholeheartedly with everything you said there. Preach on dude :D.
@SorryGuy: We watch pro-wrestling because it's a form of "escape" from reality, just as a movie is. Every Monday and Thursday night, for 2 hours each, WWE fans are able to sit down, relax, and have fun. Yes, McMahon's decision to come right out and say "the outcomes are fake" is debatable, but I'd still be entertained just as much (barring any more horrible storylines *cough*Katie Vick*cough*) if he hadn't. Those people who watch it with a jaded attitude and keep asking "why?" shouldn't complain. I hate reality TV shows, but instead of constantly asking "why?", I change the channel. The superstars go out there and, like them or not, bust their @$$es for every fan out there, from a packed crowd of 20,000 to a barn that seats 150. If you don't like the storylines, at least admire the athleticism and the will to sacrifice any given body part for devoted fans, not to mention the lost time with families. There are guys out there who not only missed the births of their children, but other momentous occasions in their kids' lives as well. All for the sake of putting on a show to entertain others. They get about a week or two off every year, that's it. Basically, the WWE is there for its fans every week, whether a war is going on, or a vast political scandal has been uncovered. In fact, as a devoted fan myself, I can remember finding out events in the news through watching wrestling as a 3 year old. So please, if you don't like what you see, don't insult the wrestlers or fans, just change the channel and stop complaining.

    -MV2 :fingers:

EDIT: *reads sorryguy's post*. Pro-wrestling may have fixed outcomes, but tell me: when a 250 lb. guy lifts a 470 lb guy on his shoulders, is he faking the lift? Think about what the word fake means, and also what context it's used in describing WWE. And for pete's sake, don't go into a thread marked "Pro-Wrestling" and insult the sport and its fans. It's like a metal fan going into a dance club and whining about the techno. It's a moot point buddy.

Hi all, I'm back after a bit of a delay. Here's a new card, then I have an announcement regarding the set ;).

    <Famed Army General> '2WW'
    Legendary Creature- Human Leader
    Vigilance, First Strike
All soldiers you control get +1/+1.
    'TAP': Destroy target attacking creature
    2/5
    Rare
    ***/306

After much debating, I've decided to add a new ability to the set. It will appear in all five colors, since every color really has its own "theme" anyway. Without further ado, I present:

    Immolation
Immolation is a keyword that gives you the opportunity to get back a spell played, but at a certain price. The rules basically read: <Immolation "Cost">, return <CARD> to your hand instead of it going to your graveyard (pay Immolation cost as the spell resolves). There will be various types of Immolation "Costs", such as:

Creature Immolation (followed by a number): Sacrifice <Number> creatures, return <CARD> to your hand.
Land Immolation (followed by a number): Sacrifice <Number> Lands, return <CARD> to your hand
Permanent Immolation (followed by a number): Sacrifice <Number> Permanents, return <CARD> to your hand
Life Immolation (followed by a number): Pay <Number> Life, return <CARD> to your hand.
Hand Immolation (followed by a number): Discard <Number> cards, return <CARD> to your hand.

    *********************************************************
[Aside] The rules wording here is a but off, I know. I'm going to have an official write-up on Immolation and its rules in the near future. And this is NOT a rip-off of Buyback, as I have quite a few different ideas for what to do, including a few wacky ones which might make it into the set. I know it's similar, but before I see any harsh criticism, please bear with me.
    *********************************************************

Now, while these Immolation costs are "basic" I already have a few twists to put on this ability, but they can't be revealed just yet ;).

Anyway, I'll present a few "demo" cards for Immolation, then I might be able to post more later on tonight, or tomorrow afternoon.

    Here ya go:

    <Immolation Burn Spell 1> 'R'
    Instant
<CARD> deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
Life Immolation 1 (You may pay 1 point of life as this spell resolves. If you do, return this card to your hand instead of placing it in your graveyard)
    Common
    ***/306

    <Immolation Counter 1> 'UU'
    Instant
    Counter target creature spell.
Hand Immolation 1 (You may discard a card from your hand as this spell resolves. If you do, return this card to your hand instead of placing it your graveyard.)
    Common
    ***/306

    <Immolation Land Fetch> 'GG'
    Sorcery
Search your library for up to two basic land cards and put them into play tapped.
Hand Immolation 2 (You may discard 2 cards from you hand as this spell resolves. If you do, return this card to your hand instead of placing into your graveyard.)
    Uncommon
    ***/306

That'll be all for now. More to come soon!

BTW, I'm sorry I haven't been able to post new stuff. This past week has proved to be difficult, what with big exams, inclimate weather, and a broken ankle hindering me. Hopefully, my leg will heal up, and life will return to normal, as will my posting schedule here :D.

    Feedback is greatly appreciated!

    Yee-ikes! Grin

Hmm, maybe if I give you the link to where I got the album covers from, it might look better, since the pictures in my avy had been resized to fit the 50x50 limit over at News.

    Try this: http://www.metallica.com/Media/Albums/albums.asp

Click on each album cover on the right side, and you should see a slightly enlarged version of each one. Hope this helps!

    Thanks :smile2:
