Go against conventional wisdom, and refrain from playing Duress on T1. It's pretty critical to catch Eldrazi Monument early, and slowrolling Duresses up your chances of catching a topdecked Monument. Kill pretty much everything you see, including mana elves (they'll screw up your gatekeepers). Use Tendrils sparingly, as they will win you the match. Keep your life total higher than theirs and take em down through the skies. Anowan, The Ruin Sage is pretty good here, if you have been following the dialogue of the past few pages, as is Sorin Markov. If you've been looking for an excuse to play 'bad' cards like those, this is it.
Hey, thanks for the advice. Got 2nd (3rd time in a row) lost in the last match against blue/white allies and mana flooded in games 2 and 3. Ah well... Goin for friday muahahahaha.
Idk if i been lucky or not but i'm not haveing that bad a time against jund :S of corse our tournament only really has one jund guy and i only played him twice... there is alot of eldrazi green here and I have problems with them. Idk if im makeing a mistake or something but what can we do to them? Suggestions?
I don't know why people are running Kalastria Highborn in this deck. It was completely underwhelming in all of my testing (I did a fair bit.) I never had the mana free for it and when I did I would rather be spending it else where.
Well... FNM last week highborn won me a game against jund. It was also a lightning stick which was nice because they don't use their bolts on other things.
I was playing in a mirror match and a guy tried to tendrils a hexmage, who I saced in response removing all my counters from my bloodghast, he was confused but learned quickly he just wasted his removal on a now "illegal" target..
My friend runs some aristocrats in his deck and it gets annoying trying to tendrills anything when they out. I'll get him with my hexmage next time if he tries to corrupt it Muahahahahaha!
Quick Question... Can you sac a Hexmage ro feed highborn without haveing a target on the field with Tokens on it, or does she have to target a permanant with counters on it? Thanks
