Just like to note that the latest reprint of Lurrus in March of the Machines fix the incorrect rule text for anyone who is bothered by it. And the card itself is still plenty strong even without the companion text.

Good reviews as always. I think there's more potential in Lord Skitter, Sewer King and I would give it a try in my 360 and see where he goes.

I'm a lot more sceptical about Charming Scoundrel as well, but I am buying the card to test it as well.

I agree with the rest though.

Great reviews. The only card I'm personally interested for 360 is Death-Greeter's Champion so the list seem rather accurate overall. The rest of the cards are just testing and I'm not sure how it pan out long term.

I think Wrenn is strong, but him not being able to make a creature that protect him on T3 makes me think he's not good enough for 360.

I'm actually also interset in Invasion of Ixalan because I still like Oath of Nissa and believe that this kind of effects are great in cube.

The card is a few years too late. Literally a decade ago molten-tailed masticore is a VERY popular option in cube. Now, I think it pass its time. This card doesn't ramp up enough to match the power creep to be worth discard a card requirement.

Requiring mana or life to activate kills this card for me. And I don't think I need the 3rd Mother of Rune for 360.

    Quote from Mangolassi »
Initially thought this is really bad due to the vulnerability to removal and lack of immediate impact, but I was really underappreciating how strong turning off your opponent's ETBs is as a form of protection. Based on a quick overview, in my cube only Swords to Plowshares, Unexpectedly Absent, Brazen Borrower, Lethal Scheme and Grist, the Hunger Tide can unconditionally get this off the board for good without trading down in mana, and two of these are white cards you could very well have in your own deck. Elesh also pairs well with the Solitude cycle for immediate impact.

It doesn't stabilise the board for you, but if it sticks, which it likely will, it will make it very easy for you to take over the game. I think it's a good card for cubes encouraging "battlecruiser"-style play.

I highly recommend Aboleth Spawn if you like this card. Its effect isn't as nearly as strong but it's also only a 3 drop. It's been working really well in my 360 testing and I might try to keep it over the long haul if possible..

I totally agree with your #2-3 but I am a bit surprised by the top card of the set.

    Current, I am including
    Dack Fayden
    Lutri, the Spellchaser
    Prismari Command
    in my Izzet section.

Lutri has been pretty solid and I'll have to see if I like this guy more than Prismari command.

I also view Surge Engine a bit differently. While it is "The way this card plays out, you spend your 2nd turn’s and part of your 3rd turn’s mana getting this beater online" like you say, it's also essentially leaving 2 mana open for counterspell which are bread and butter of blue decks. I do like blue tempo and like to push for cubable blue creatures a lot though. So while I'm not sure if it'll stay in my cube I'll still give it a run.

It's good but I don't know what to cut. Maybe Monastery Mentor?

posted a message on [MH2][CUBE] Damn
I put it in Orzhov slot for now, replacing Vindicate. Lingering Soul is too strong, and Lurrus to me is just as strong as vindicate but a lot more unique. I can't rule out having strictly better wrath of god for my cube, so Damn over Vindicate it is.

If I ever want to free up a lot, it'll probably be a white card in my cube. It's Wrath of God mode is going to use so often and it's going to get swipe by white deck a lot more than black deck.
