I have been running 22 lands, and I have had more problems with flooding rather than not getting enough mana.

they finaly make her look like the sexy lady she is supposed to be

    Cool

They should print her manga version (not the JvC artwork, a new art based off her manga art).

Any Zerg vibes are always welcomed.

I could live with this being the green praetor. Being bad ass without being forced is always nice, and he just screams his ideology.

I miss Yawgmoth, but I like the five different views of Phyrexia, rather than being a faceless terror. The faceless terror is good, but it is nice to see flesh given (no insult to our new Phyrexian Overlords) to the Phyrexians.

    Quote from luminum can
For the Shards prerelease, that was the rule. You could only play one shard's colors.

It was? I don't remember it being that way.

I believe that the action of Bolas taking advantage of the merge of the shards was not evil. Some of his individual actions were evil, but the overall goal was not evil. Taking advantage of something that is going to happen anyways is not evil. Selfish, may be. Not evil.

If you take away what Bolas did to speed up and intensify the Maelstorm, and just collected the energy naturally, would that have been evil?

Just a side thought, would it not have been awesome in the original Shards release that you could only have cards of the three color shards?

  • posted a message on Is Obstinate Baloth even worth it?
To be honest, why would it matter really even if he triggers off the discard ability against SoFaF. You gain four life and have an attacker, but the creature with SoFaF is going to go past Obstinate Baloth the same as any other green creature.

Against Boros and Kuldotha Red, it is decent.

Bolas's action were very much Black. Self-centered without regard to others well being.

I am testing out Oust. So far, I have like the results of playtesting it, but I have not tested against much outside of Mono Green Ramp (Not eldrazi ramp). Any input is welcomed.

  • posted a message on Expensive uncommons in your rare trade binder!
    I have three binders currently

MtG Binder - Has all my good cards for MtG.
For me, a rare/mythic goes in my binder if it is popular and worth more than a 1.00.
For foils, uncommons, and commons, only if they are popular and go over 2.00.

YGO Binder - if it is not complete Junk, it goes in the binder.

F.C. Binder - a binder full of playable but not worth much cards. It is meant to mock people who have huge binders full of crap.

Every now and then, I will have my high end MtG in another binder.

Teferi did what he thought was right. He didn't want to get involved he felt he and his people shouldn't be a part of. Isolationism is not cowardice.

dam, you just defined a coward to me. ^^

whole world going to war, he decided to split. i mean how much more do i need to elaborate.

how do you not get involved in a planet destroying thing. i mean, come on man!!

imagine china just like not being there anymore. no more anything plastic and half of our technology, if not more, being made.( " made" not created, but made).
say good by rice. the world needs china, THEY CAN NOT JUST PHASE OUT!!!!

    Bad example, but understandable.

If you and your people are not personally involved with a war, and have a way out, why would you not take?

Was Switzerland cowards for not getting involved in WW2? Or how about America prior to WW2? Obviously not.

Teferi also fought the Phryexian forces, and saw first hand what could happen to his people. He choose instead of getting involved in a war that he did not feel justified fighting, and had a safe way to save his people. Being a leader is more than winning, it is making sure your people are alive and well.

It can be argued as selfish and shortsighted, but not cowardice. As I said before, just because someone does not want to get involved in a war does not mean they are cowards.

If I recall correctly, he was fighting Phyrexians, but decided to opt of the night rather than take needless sacrifices of his people.

The definition of coward is running away from a confrontation that has a reasonable chance of victory unless a better result is gained from leaving.

    - Fighting a losing battle when you could escape and come back with a better force is not cowardice.
    - Running away from an opponent because there is a more important task to be accomplished is not cowardice.
    - Running from an opponent because you are not sure you can win is cowardice.

If you use what you quoted as a definition, then everyone is a coward. How many fights have you seen and not stopped? How many wars did not get involved with? How many debates? That is the point. Some battles are not worth fighting, and if it better for you not to fight, it is not cowardice.

That was Teferi's thought process, in my opinion. Urza was going to win, and Teferi did not want his people to pay the price for Urza's victory. He had a way he felt could save his people from the invaders, and did it. As Is aid above, it was selfish, as he was not considering anyone buy himself at the moment, but that was his decision, not based on cowardice.

Also: read a little first before you assume.

    http://www.suite101.com/content/leading-rice-export-countries-a50965

    China is number 6

Thailand … 10 million tons (34.5% of global rice exports)
    India … 4.8 million tons (16.5%)
    Vietnam … 4.1 million tons (14.1%)
    United States … 3.1 million tons (10.6%)
    Pakistan … 1.8 million tons (6.3%)
    China (including Taiwan) … 901,550 tons (3.1%)

    http://geography.about.com/library/faq/blqzrice.htm
Rice is a food staple worldwide and China is the world's leading rice producing country, producing just over one-third (33.9%) of the world's rice supply. Thailand is the world's leading rice exporter, however, and it's exporting 28.3% of the world's rice export. India is the world's second largest producer and exporter.

    http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/Thailand-retains-position-as-worlds-top-rice-expor-30145900.html
China is not in the top 2 Rice exporters.

Second of all, China manufactures most of the stuff. We can and used to make our stuff in America, but it became cheaper to do it in China. Corporations are more than capable of building manufacturing plants wherever they can. China is just the best spot right now.

However, even if we accept your false ideas and move on argument, the world would just adapt.

I am pretty sure Teferi thought that Urza would win. He didn't want to have his people pay the price for Urza's victory.

    - Elspeth is a coward, but that does not make her bad.
    - Sorin is not a coward. That is pretty obvious.
    - Teferi did what he thought was right. He didn't want to get involved he felt he and his people shouldn't be a part of. Isolationism is not cowardice.
    - Urza was not a coward. You try charging unknown into the enemy's stronghold and see how well you do before you die or turn back.
    - Serra was a coward. She ran when the going got tough in her own backyard.
    - Venser was a coward that overcame his cowardliness by the demands of wanting to get laid. Since he became a Neowalker, he was anything but a coward.
    - Gideon is not a coward at all.
    - Bolas is not a coward. Why stick your neck out when you can get someone else to do it for you.
    - Liliana is fearful, but not a coward.
    - Karn. That one is in the air.

The others, not even a contender.

It could be done well, but I am sure Bolas will behind it.
