I know I don't really need to point this out, but for players who aren't familiar with Skullclamp, here is the major error in the thinking in the article:
You play Skullclamp, play arcbound warrior, and equip. You played two cards to draw two cards, and lost mana doing so. Why was Skullclamp banned from T2 play, then? Because after this cycle where "nothing was done," Skullclamp was still in play. The next arcbound warrior you played got tossed for two cards, and you got the Modular token. Late game it added damage, and refunded cards on your dead critters.
Not to bash the article (it has some good ideas), but the Skullclamp argument is not strong. Everybody was doing the play that the author describes because it was and is the best play to do in the situation.
Thoughts? Once Rule of Law dropped, it would be rough for them. I mean, it beats Storm decks, gets you locked against a control deck (which Planeswalkers should win), and keeps small decks from keep playing stuff. I don't know, I've always been a fan of Rule of Law.
I've had pretty good success. I mostly disagree with your SB choices. Pithing is my ghetto counter to Dragonstorm/most trouble cards, I agree with pyroclasm, Epo for aggro too, and Extirpate for getting rid of Teferi or Guile, or whatever you need. The deck is really fun, once you get Vess out and have some kind of board control (Moat or post damnation or anything to stop them from attacking), the game is pretty much up. I'm going to keep working on it (I've wanted to play a planeswalker deck for a long time, thank you for getting one started), and I'll post match write-ups and keep updating a decklist if you'd like me to.
'ello everybody. Thanks for the tips- I'm heading to the card stores tomorrow (or calling or something).
Another question: How does one get into the real DCI tournaments and such? I've heard of certain "pros" that are limited specialists, which mean they must play DCI-sponsored limited tournaments sometimes (PT's, regionals, etc.) Does anybody know which ones do limited (I've tried looking on the DCI website, and its a bit overwhelming).
I've been a fairly casual player for a few years, and the only tournament experience I have are a bunch of prereleases, which I really enjoy. I love the limited environment, and consider myself a fairly competent player.
Which leads me to my next question- Where next? I'd like to get involved in the tournament scene, but I really only enjoy playing limited, and I have no idea where to get started in the competitive world. Most tournaments and such seem to be Type 2, which I could play if I had to, but I really prefer limited.

Err... Nevermind. I think that Frostling will definately see play. Maybe Traproot Kami, or Kami of False Hope in WW.
The card goes to the owners hand from the stack if I'm remembering this right. If I am, it never hits the graveyard, so theres nothing to replace.
Either way, bolding the word "WRONG" was unnecessary.
Anyone who is going contact me.
