Hello guys, I've been fortunate enough last season to win a PTQ in Montreal and so I'll be attending PT Born of the Gods. Now let me tell you that I'm a legacy player at heart. This is the format that got me into magic a few years ago.

When I saw there was a GP down in Paris the week before I tried making arrangements to attend it. Unfortunately, the other players I plan on staying with in Valencia are either not attending Paris or already rooming/living with people. I'm a little reticent to go on my own and try to rent an hotel room all by myself alone in a country I've never been too. I'd feel better with fellow magic players.

Any of you are planning on attending the GP, have an extra spot in their room and want to split? Or better yet, some extra space on their couch (willing to pay)?

I'm a French Canadian from Québec City so my first language is French, hoping that will come in handy in France. I'm also fluent in English.

Contact me here or in private or by Email at Kevor24@gmail.com.

See you at the GP !

So why aren't we running 1 Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. Only cost one slot for little to no effort to double the damage output.

To play cards of Dark Ascension in a tournament? After the prerelease or after the official release ?

To my understanding it was after the release but one of my friend is saying that if there was to be a tourny after the prerelease, you could play DKA cards in it.

Also, is there an official article that states it ? Just so we can stop arguing.

This seems like a difficult choice P1P1: Reaper of the Abyss or Instigator Gang?

Reaper. I really don't like red in this format and reaper is just plain stupid.

I posted the MBS ones, got 1 response. Stopped figuring them out since no one wants them. Yes, it's a lot harder to actualy use them in a draft since the change (which happened at Shards, btw), but with the full lists you could create all the real packs you need (at common anyway; as far as I can tell, the uncommon runs are impossible to figure at this time. Three at random should be a reasonable approximation though)

I, for one, would be very interested if someone can figure out and post the common print runs. That's very valuable information in draft.

Not to mention that against Splinter Twin, Blunt the Assault gives you a free turn.

Well, so does the other fog. Blunt the Assault doesn't give you more time than the other fogs because no matter what you're life total is, they can just make this number of tokens + 1 (Or more).

Oh and I don't play extended so short of hoping that cards get re-printed and/or go up in value, I won't be doing much else with them.

I think that pretty much answer your own question. Fetchlands are always safe to keep if only to trade to some legacy players but the others stapples such as Lotus Cobra will greatly drop in value... So if standard is the only format you play sell everything and buy some Innistrad

Here's two simple questions that we've been debating over here :

What happens in details if you Clone an animated Gideon Jura?

Can you sac a creature (along with two others) to Dread Return it.

    Thanks for the help!

Okay fine, you won, I lost. I just opened two Tezz today (and in only 9 boosters may I add :P) and I'm a esper/control player at heart so I'll at least try, if not really, play this deck. It seems like a blast. Also, I do like the fact that this deck does not HAVE to run Jace2.0 because it has easier access to Phyrexian Revoker MD/SB to answer him without screwing ourself. And it's the only blue deck that can do that. In fact, considering this I'm not even sure if Jace would be that good in the deck.

Anyway, around here I got a pretty competitive playtest group and I'll try to be back with some results soon. The best list so far (IMO) is the one in the OP and I'll start tweaking from his list. Some quick ideas on the deck before I go to bed :

-Sphere of the Sun might be really good in this deck even if it looks subpar. The ability to do some turn 3 DoJ against aggro (and especially the new goblin list) is CRUCIAL. And it comes with the added bonus to be able to play turn 3 tezz against control if they tap out on turn 2 to play Squadron Hawk/Spreading Seas.

-Disfigure/Go for the Throat have to make their way in the maindeck and the SB. I foresee the aggro deck to be better and even more popular in the next few weeks/months and a couple of well placed removal and a good sense of the game is all it takes

-I really DO like the Venser engine but maybe, and it's a big maybe, it's more a pain in the deck in some MUs... I'll really try to keep it in because I do think the Spine is a good card

-Treasure Mage deserve good testing in this deck as a 2-3of. Go find Wurnmcoil/Spine and Mindslaver against control is not bad at all. Maybe Trinker Mage could better but we'll have to see if Vengevine decks become really popular after paris. We'll be fixed soon enough

-I think with some tweak we can have a pretty good matchup againts both control and aggro but the ramp (read valakut) matchup seems really really really bad. It's almost a auto-scoop against a resolved Titan... Maybe I'm wrong, like I said I did not testing yet but that's how I feel looking at the list.

-The manabase looks "fine". It could be better with some more Marsh Flat and a handful of SoM duals, maybe around 4-5. But it's not a big problem in the deck

-We have so many choice for the SB it's ridiculous lol. I'll list them all tomorrow

-The deck draws a huge number of cards it's not even funny. I do like that.

Anyway it was my 2 cents, hope it helped some people. I'll try and post a list tomorow or Monday but I'm a bit too tired for now so have fun brewing!

P.S. : please don't mind any typo/grammar error I'm not on my PC and I don't feel like re-reading the whole thing.

Sup guys, it's been a long time since I posted here but I finally decided on building dredge. Traded for some Ichorid and troll last night and made up a list on MWS. I think I'm getting more and more how the deck work and how it can perform. Anyway here's my list :

So I need a little help with my list since it's 61 cards but I just can't figure what to cut. I really like 3 Ichorid and so far I love having sphinx + zealot and I think it's a little more consistent too. Got any ideas?

Also I'm debating which rainbow land should take the remaining two spots : the bolt one or the one that return to your hand? I didn't really test the Citadel but taking 3 each turns on game 2-3 isn't exactly good IMO (don't really care about game 1 since we win anyway).

And finally what I should put in those remaining three slots in the SB? Probably Chain of Vapors but I'm unsure. Perhaps someone knows better.

So I'd just like some feedback on my list. I'm definitely buying the missing pieces tonight at my local store and I'm running this list (after the tweaks) at a local 1K in some weeks. I'm fairly confident in my ability to play this deck so wish me good luck!
