Joy Division. Music critics and dumbass indie fanboys alike do nothing but suck Ian Curtis's rotting dick, and it's so annoying. Clattery, boring, glum music, complete with an untalented, tone-deaf singer and pretentious semi-offensive Nazi imagery. Sounds like a score to me.
Joy Division wasn't the best band in the world, but they were massively influential to the post-punk, gothic, and industrial scenes. The nazi imagery mainly stems from their name (the phrase "joy division" refers to jewish women forced into prostitution in concentration camps)
Adele, all of my friends and internet hipsters are obsessed with her, when IMO the whole "white hipsters pretending to be black women" thing has been done to death. all she ever does is whine about her boyfriend leaving her, which probably wouldn't have happened if she didn't offer to "try out" her godawful songs on him.
in addition to being a nerd, i'm also an industrial-synth-crunk musician.

for fans of brokencyde, psychic tv, nine inch nails, and breathe carolina.
i'm looking forward to new records by Enter shikari, devil wears prada, and we came as romans. and for all those reunited industrial bands (Gravity kills, stabbing westward, skrew etc.) to actually put out some new stuff
I'm gonna throw Borderlands out there as well. sure the game has good graphics and multiplayer support, but it also has boring quests (kill 10 skaggs! find all 60 pieces of cheesesteak jimmys colon!), lame items, shallow rpg elements, weak gameplay and bland environments. a second one is in the works, but i'll stick with Rage, thanks.
is anyone else disappointed in doug breyer's work for savor the flavor?
i'm a pretty big fan of flavor, but i don't understand why these articles exist.
in this article he writes about the flavor of bloodthirst as if it weren't blatantly obvious to everyone and their grandmother: http://wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/ite
and i know he can write (he wrote the alara book) but i half expect him to post an article about the flavor of burn spells. "Ya see, getting hit with a lightning bolt hurts more than being shocked in real life. we call them burn cards because being burned hurts and creature get hurt when you do damage to them herp derp derp"
i'd recommend What lies beneath it sort of straddles horror and thriller (and it has harrison ford) insidious and paranormal activity are good freak out/jumpy movies.
also black swan is an awesome thriller
the Halo series is overrated IMO. everyone wets themselves over the "epic storyline" and by "epic storyline", i mean over 9000 cutscenes explaining that some aliens blew up your ship while orchestral music swells in the backround and fans of decent single player compaigns die a little on the inside.
oh noes! hexproof sphinx of jwar isle and giant growth are gonna be breaking standard in half!
