This might sound stupid but it almost looks like its shinier than previous foil cards... As though they've improved the foiling process... That or its just being flooded with light in that scan...
Some cards just take the foiling process better then others. The foil Serra is clearly foil even from across the table, whereas my foil 8th edition fallen angels dont appear foil unless held at the right angle. The closer to white the background color is, the more it appears to shine.
If you go to http://www.cabalcity.com/angels I have tons of angel wallpapers, including the specter VS Serra, the full size Staples Serra Angel, rare comic scans as wallpaper, promo angels as wallpapers, as well as actual card arts as wallpapers (29 wallpapers), plus a huge gallery of other angel artwork (99 images), as well as other angely goodness
No there arent, you can get
boosters, which have 1 land each,
40 card pre made decks, which have about 17 lands each,
Fat Packs, which have 40 lands,
2 player starters, which have about 35 lands each.
There are getting to be a good number of foil serra's on ebay, if you are in another country and looking to grab one relativly cheap. As more flood ebay the prices should go down.
I dare you to make a poll challenging who would play what version of that beautiful art compared to the other jank arts weve gotten.
No Kidding, the new art is the best by far. The 8th Serra was probably one of my least favorite angel arts, and the Shuler promo was done using the old style foil, where the image doesnt have that "cut out" look to it.
If I had any of the other foils, I would sell them to buy these. Regardless of rarity, they simply look better.
What is included in the two decks in this thing? Does it include lands as well (I assume it does)?
Yes, it includes two mini decks to teach you the game, and a little pre-made booster to add to the decks when you are ready to try more advanced things, like creature enchantments, combat tricks and such.

Guys, I think that foil is RANDOM. He just happened to get a Serra.
None of the other foils in the 2 player starters have been random, and Serra Angel is the card pictured in the bottom corner of the front of the box.
The 9th edition fat pack includes the first 2 tries at a Serra Angel by Greg Staples, as well as the final version and an amazing Hypnotic Spector VS Serra Angel on the cover of the box. Here they are (these are just the three 'new' ones, the official artwork is not reposted here):
I asked my shop owner to open a 9th 2 player starter set tonight (after midnight) to see what the foil was, as it does not state explicitly on the package what is included.
After opening, it was revealed to be none other then a foil Serra Angel in a little plastic baggie. Below are pics, as I was out with friends, I bought one and opened it to put it into my angel deck immediatly
So if anyone is seeking foil serras, grab them up!
(You can see the mini serra angel image in the bottom corner of the box clearly in one of the photos)
Detailed 2 Player set contents:
1 Foil Serra Angel in plastic wrapper.
2 cardboard life tokens
1 Magic Online registration card (for MTGO versions of the starter)
1 complete Magic Rulebook
2 Playmats
2 Beginners play guides
1 Survey card
1 MTGO CD
I did not realise the decklists where not in the guides, so I do not have a list of other cards, but here are the cards only in the 2 player set:
Eager Cadet
Vengeance
Coral Eel
Giant Octopus
Index
Vizzerdrix
Goblin Raider
Enormous Baloth
Spined Wurm
Most of them have more then one copy in the deck, including Vizzerdrix, which is technically a rare.

Is 9th out in MTGO already?

All accounts are free, but the cards cost.
The reg cards gives you all the cards from the 2 player set into your MTGO account. Unknown if you get the serra too or not.
