Cool thanks guy. The legit comment wasn't meant to offend it's just that all too often everyone likes to throw in their two cents when these questions come up so answers can get skewed and whatnot. Thanks for setting the record straight though. Genuinely appreciate this community!
So at FNM last night a rules question came up, no judge was present and an argument ensued. Not my finest moment but so it goes. I figured I'd come relay the situation here and get some feedback. Please only judges answering, I'd really prefer a legit answer.
The situation is as follows:
I end my main phase one. I say, "Declare attackers" to which my opponent replies, "OK." I tap my Hero of Oxid Ridge and Lotus Cobra too attack into his field of Spellskite and lands. After I declare my attackers I tap them. My opponent tries to animate his manland and block. I tell him I THINK its already too late. He accepts the situation as is, and takes the damage and loses the game next turn. After the game he looks up what he thinks is evidence that he did indeed have a chance to animate AND block with Creeping Tar Pit during the declare blockers step.
What I want to know, was I in the wrong? Or was I in fact, correct that once my attackers were in fact "attackers", he couldn't animate his manland and block legally? Thanks guys.
So I've been testing my RUG build I posted and I find that I'm just too easily disrupted. I'm concerned that sometimes this deck just doesn't DO anything. It just plays some bad persist guys and then fails. I'm going to try straight G/B with like one Blood Crypt for Scarland Thrinax. I'm hoping it works but it keeps seeming less likely for me
Yeah, as far as I'm concerned, BoP is neccessary. To keep up with the clock presented by Zoo we need to be able to go off on 4. This is how we do it. (its friday night)
@DOL Yay we're stickied! Also, the birds have been really good to me. Going T1 Birds, T2 Melira, Suspend sets me up for turn 3 win with Redcap. I may try some other stuff but I can't seem to think of anything sick to throw in... Dispel? Spell Pierce?
I was JUST thinking about a wish board for this deck. I've got a Naya list and I'm looking for some feedback. I'm not sure if it's where we want to be but it's just a thought. It's so early in the format, we ought to look at all options.
Not playing Gargadon seems like a mistake. I built my list tonight and I'm trying Gitaxian Probe and Manamorphose at the suggestion of a friend. I feel like just having more action cards is better. I really like the use of discard in these lists as well. For some reason that never crossed my mind. I've got a list right now with BoP but they seem unnecessary. I think this deck is a real thing, we just have to find the sickest list and... be persistent... zing.
Ok i'm crazy interested in this deck. How has it been testing for everyone? I've built it but there is only a couple of locals that play extended and all this snow on the east coast put a huge damper in my WWK face-time. How does this deck perform against the big guns? Hexmage, Thopter, Scapeshift, Zoo and the like?
So I've been testing Rendog's build of the deck and I like it so far. But in playing with Rest for the Weary I have also found the card to be a bit lacking. I'm going to try out Angelsong in that spot as I feel like stopping whatever amount of damage you have coming at you, is much much better that just gaining eight life. If there was a way to somehow fit both of them in I"m for it, but till then I think Angelsong is the clear winner.
I played this against my brothers Mono White Tokens deck and it crushed me. I was never able to get a bond to stick and have it not be O-ring'd. I really like the idea of the deck but I'm a little worried about the consistency. Anyone have any playtips for me? Just trying to cover all my bases ad I'm super interested in the deck.
Dalems I'm looking at your list and I guess I'm missing something, but why is Terramorphic Superior to say one of the B/x fetches? I'm super tired so I feel like I'm just missing something. Your list looks solid btw, I'll be testing it hardcore this week for States.
On that note, is everyone feeling pretty confident with the deck? It has been running pretty well for me but I'm just a little worried about the inconsistency factor. I've learned when to mull after playing so much so that has helped, but I feel like it may just be a little off. Thoughts?
