I had platinum angel in origanally. Only problem is he doesn't come out till turn 7, where as Angel's Grace can be stuck on sceptor as early as turn 2, and I can start taking extra turns. i could put it back in though. Also so many people play creature removal but not as much maindeck artifact destruction. Maybe I could run both
I guess what I meant is that that the deck has the cards in it to go infinite, but that that is not the only option. getting 2 sceptors out with the right cards to put on them is hard. As long as I get Angel's Grace on a sceptor, I can take many turns and get an advantage as I have 12 Final Fortuneesque cards in the deck. That is why I was looking for a wincon that wouldn't need infinite turns, but that could be used once I get ahead in land drop/etc on my extra turns.
I'm working on a deck that can (potentially) take infinite turns, and yes, it only runs red mana. The infinite turns is iffy, but it can take several in a row. The deck idea is to run Final Fortune, and put Angel's Grace on Isochron Sceptor. Then on the second turn from Final Fortune, activate sceptor make it so you can't lose that turn, rinse, repeat. To take infinite turns put both Final Fortune and Angel's Grace on Isochron Sceptors.
Here's the decklist I came up with, but it still needs work and a win condition.
I was thinking of possibly using Form of the Dragon as a wincon because several turns with him on the table could eat an opponent up. What other cards could I use to make the deck more reliable/ help it win quicker?
I have been trying to build a deck around Helix Pinnacle for a while. I consiered uber-ramp and just pump tons of mana into it running Doubling Season or something, or a deck that runs various infinite mana combos and it. None of the deck ideas yielded results. I came up with a deck idea that would run counterspells and stall spells and it, and get enough mana for Decree of Silence, and pump a little mana each turn until its full.
Has anyone else tried building around this card?
What cards could I run to help stall out the board until I can fill up the pinnacle? I was thinking I would run WUG.
Tap fatestitcher to tap something, untap fatestitcher with alchemist, untap alchemist with fatestitcher for an infinite loop. Each time you untap, mill yourself 1. Then cast living death, getting every creature from your library into play, and concorant crossraods/ fires of yavimaya/ etc to give them haste and swing.
Mono blue in EDH is by far the most competitive color and dominates 1v1 with counter-spells, control magic effects, extra turns, tons of draw card, and infinite combos galore. Led by generals such as Teferi, Azami, Vendillion Clique, it has made 1v1 unfun to play, and gets instantly teamed up against in multiplayer.
This being said, there has to be a way to play mono-blue in a way that doesn't revolve around these combos and dominating win tactics. What generals/ cards could be playable in a mono-blue deck that wouldn't block out the opponent with counter-spells or by stealing their permanents, and doesn't take infinite turns for the win?
If that isn't achievable then how about a U/W deck that isn't a total lockdown.
I think the database should include colorless producing lands too, stuff like Reliquary Tower, etc beacuse its often dificult searching for the right lands to fit in ur deck aside from duals.
Last week at our EDH game: The four players in our game dwindled down to 2; Me, playing Isperia, the Inscrutable, and my opponent playing Garza Zol. Through some luck and some life gain, when the second player is eliminated, we're both at 40+. Both our boards are relatively clear, but he has his general on the field with a +1/+1 counter on it. he swings at me, i take the beating but realize that he has the upper hand as i have no removal in hand. My turn: I topdeck Humility , play it, then play some dudes from my hand (as 1/1s) for chump blocking. Pass turn. He now has a 2/2 and i have a couple 1/1s. He plays Whispersilk Cloak and equips his general. After about 7 or 8 turns, he wins from general damage with Humility on the table.

only problem is that Gilder Bairn targets, and pinnacle has shroud.

that works with Mana Crypt rather than Blacker lotus which isnt legal
