The only serious problem I see with the deck is sweepers. I usually beat most everything else unless I stall early. So I guess the only fix for sweepers is do not over extend.

I'm assuming most if not all of SCG is playing just U. Also, I didn't want to be the first one to say it, but I agree that it looks more of a meta call deck then a long term contender at this point.

Thats what they said about Mono Blue Illusions a while back and the deck ended up evolving and dominating the format as U/W Delver. never count a deck as a meta called deck.

It did seem like he passed the turn, then tried to cast Ooze on his opponent's upkeep. But, neither of us were there, so who knows?

On another note, I heard that AJ Sacher would give his opponents their triggers in a situation similar to CHY vs. CHarkinson match. That made me gain a bunch of respect for Sacher and I did not expect that at all. I myself would probably not give the trigger if it was missed at a competitive REL.

Don't let a single nice quote from AJ change his look in your eyes even if he was telling the truth or not, he is nothing more than a _____.

Welcome to the ATL! 665 players have shown up to do battle in the final Standard Open of the season. Technical difficulties mean that SCGLive won't be available until around 4 PM Eastern, but Glenn Jones, Riki Hayashi, and AJ Sacher will keep you updated with coverage from the floor!

Just seems like some people in this thread think they know EVERYTHING.

Ok, getting back on track, Jund is by far in the top 2 best decks along side American Flash. I have been playing Golgari Control and my Jund matchups are really really solid, but I lose more to American Flash than I win, but vs the oiverall meta I do pretty good except like I said in my American Flash matchups. Sad thing is American Flash is played everywhere which makes it rough on me in events.

One thing is for sure, our sideboard NEEDS to be tweaked to handle American Flash better than it does because currently it just isn't enough.

My build is close to what Jeff Hoogland is running this weekend, a few cards are different but the lists are very close. I am good vs the field but the one deck I am having serious trouble with is American Flash. I am losing 70% of the matchups vs that deck and need to find answers for it. The deck is amazing. I have been playing it hard on Modo and doing super well but as I said American Flash is hellish.

I pretty much run what Jeff Hoogland runs main, I had 1 card different than his and I went and changed it out and brought in Vraska, the Unseen and 2x Mutavault to go 100% his build maindeck, my sideboard is different though. I am thinking about moving ther maindeck Vraska, the Unseen to the sideboard and pulling another Mutilate back maindeck vs the Aggro decks.

Does this happen to others? I have custom created playmats that I use on my Modo and every now and then they randomly change to something else and I have to go into settings and change it back. Its very annoying. Is there a way to stop this from happening? They usually change to a different mat at the start of a game but at times it has been in the middle of a game and it just changes.

I think I've come to the wrong place to ask these questions based on some of the feedback. I do think some of you sound hostile to people who want to put themselves out there, that is not something I expected to find. Thanks anyways.

I couldn't help but laugh at this.

Anyways I plan to also open my own store in the future, but I still have a couple years or so to lock my retirment down at my current job, but the 100k remark, seriously, you cannot base a start up cost on EVERY STORE that opens. It depends on the size of the town/city you are opening up in and how large of events you plan to run, the start up cost is gonna fluctuate (I'm sure I spelled that wrong lol)

Tournaments are easy to run as long as space is there for the players. Hell, I ran MtG tournaments in a basement of a bookstore on my own and I gave the store owner a cut of the profits so events are not the issue, it's the cost of maintaining the stock thats giving the problems.

The fact that MTGO costs the same as paper, but instead of OWNING anything, you are merely LEASING access to it, makes it just about the worst deal in history.
The world could explode tomorrow so why even bothering going to work? I spend countless amounts of cash on my MMO game online that I play, I own NOTHING in this game except the game, I could pay to play for 5 years and all of a sudden one day poof they shut it down, I won't get a penny in return for this. I am not playing Modo now to OWN something, I am playing Modo full time to test my skills in huge tournys round the clock to try to go "pro" and win LOTS of money. Modo Cards are usually 50% cheaper if not 70% cheaper than Paper cards are with the exception of power Rares and Mythics.

Trying to find a site where I can upload a couple of photos so I can link them here to request editing help. Seems everywhere I upload it to they are not full size and come out half the size. I need a place that saves files that can be viewed at FULL SIZE.

    suggestions?

I'm not going to apologize for my sense of humor so I guess it's unfortunate you couldn't see that I was being sarcastic.

Pretty sure no one wants you to apologize, and I can honestly say most of us just want you to shut up, every time you have commented in this thread you have tried to start an E-Fight. There was no reason at all for you to be a smart ass with that comment, if you could not have been constructive with your advice, you should not even bothered replying to the comment. I made a serious thread about an issue that I have, asking others that may have been in the same situation what they ended up doing and you come back trying to act all cool.

Trying to come back "now" on page three with a constructive reply is just wasting the readers time reading it. I am done replying to you and would appreciate it if you would find some where else to troll sir.

To all the "serious" posters, I thank you guys, there has been a lot of helping thoughts added to this thread and it did actually help me and my son come to a decision. We are going to go digital 100% now. We sat down yesterday and weighed all the options .....

    - We are both really good players, not trying to sound like we are bragging, but we actually are. We have both beaten a good deal of high end players atg times, but our biggest problem is we do not have any where closer than an hour drive to play locally and we basically just have been playing casually on Modo to keep the rust off and going to mid level and large events, but basically we did not play (enough) Magic to stay focused and anyone thast ism in a situation where they do not get to play a lot should know about losing your edge. On Modo this would not be a problem with all the Dailys, PE's and PTQ's along with the MoCs etc etc

    - Also I can go back to not having the wear and tear on my truck, Hotel expenses, travel expenses etc etc plus the economy being 3x cheaper on Modo (plus, it frees up my weekends now) Wink

Anyways, we have decided ... for better or worst. So wish me luck and if anyone is on Modo, look me up online as Damaja which btw sounds like "Duh Mah Ja" not Damage a hehe. Again .... thanks everyone for the helpful suggestions and yes I will seal up my collection and store it all away i9nstead of selling it off. Like some suggested, you never know what the future holds plus if I Qualify for a Pro TOur in the future (maybe I will) and it's a Modern format, I will easily have the cards, or at least most of the cards for a deck.
