I don't want to be the person figuring out how the Chromeshell Crab matchups go...

Please don't do this format, or I'll submit 5x Chromeshell Crab.

    Alternate special format ideas:

5-Turn Shield - You can't kill an opponent before their fifth turn.

Mimeomancy - One of your five cards is a special creature. This creature is a 1/1 with all the abilities and colors of any two creature cards in the game with converted mana cost 3 or less. You can't incorporate any characteristic-defining abilities like Tarmogoyf's. The creature's mana cost is colorless mana equal to the higher of the CMCs of the creatures that form it.

Don't Disrupt Me - Each player's spells and creatures can't be targeted or countered by abilities their opponents control. (Probably devolves into Ulamog combat.)

I can't think of a way to make the aforementioned format remotely reasonable.

Can you tell that I was guessing there'd be a low-counterspell metagame?

I checked my losing results and it seems that they're all correct.

    Quote from Mogg
They're not up, because Feyd_Ruin isn't back. I've sent him the results.

Do you know when he's getting back?

Proposed format: Middle-of-the-road. You want to be the MIDDLE scoring deck, not the top or bottom one.

    Shadow Judgment - 4WB
    Sorcery
Each player who controls more permanents than the life total of the player with the lowest life total sacrifices permanents until they control that many permanents.
"Death has a funny way of making things even out."

    Celestial Arbiter - 5WWWW
    Creature - Angel
    Flying
When you cast Celestial Arbiter, each player sacrifices all permanents they control except for basic lands.

I believe U1s showed up once on the print-sheet, U2s showed up twice, and so forth. So a given U2 was twice as easy to get as a U1.

LSK, I mentioned your article above, but I must again point out that Frankie cannot make a player concede the game. Concession is a choice that is outside the game (i.e. you can concede even when you have a platinum angel in play)

Even if concession's outside the game, cards like Ashnod's Coupon and Ass Whuppin' show that Un-cards are not bound by in-game actions.

I wrote an article on this years ago.

    http://mtgsalvation.com/72-frankie-peanuts-and-coercive-logic.html

I'm not proud of the article - it was written when I was still in middle school, and I feel that it ought to be revised - but it's still got what you're looking for.

Here's how I'd word it at present:

"Answer yes or no: Will you do exactly one of the following - answer "no" to this question, or forfeit the game and give me $100?"

    This has the following effect:

    - If they answer "yes", to be consistent they must do one of the items. Since they can't have answered "no", they must forfeit the game and give you $100.
    - If they answer "no", to be consistent they can't do exactly one of the items. But they already did one; so they must do an additional one. Hence they must forfeit the game and give you $100.

  • posted a message on Consume Spirit is a really odd card, with a odd restriction. Let's riff on it.
    Double Fireball - X1R
    Sorcery
Spend only red mana on X.
Double Fireball does X damage to two target creatures and/or players.

    Quick Thinking - X1U
    Instant
Spend only blue mana on X.
    Draw X cards.

    Shake the Globe - X1G
    Sorcery
Spend only green mana on X.
Creatures you control get +X/+X and gain trample until end of turn.

    Aerial Assault - X1W
    Sorcery
Spend only white mana on X.
Put two 0/0 Bird creature tokens with flying onto the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on them.
