Nice Avatar RabidVacin *cough* *grin* I have to say, I find it amusing that you don't enjoy mana flare/howling mine while I absolutely enjoy getting both out in my multiplayer red deck.

On topic though, I always get the most peeved by the people who take FNM way more seriously then they should. Yea, it's for prizes, and probably about 8-10 packs are on the line (where I play anyway). I don't see why it's not possible to keep a smile or at least a decent attitude before/after the game.

Got totally whomped last friday after an Ajani wiped my lands, and I probably looked like I could strangle someone, but after that game while we were sideboarding I still managed to shake my head, laugh, and say out loud to myself in a silly manner "Man... how in the world did I let that happen to me". It put both me and my opponent more at ease. He got that win through a fair, if not slightly ridiculous, set of circumstances that looking back on, make me realize I love the randomness of this game. Gotta learn to laugh at the weird things that happen, especially when they're not in your favor.

Ahh another fan of the Wombat. Make any good Wombat decks? One of favorites uses Sadistic Glee and Winds of Rath. I don't have a problem with decks that use mana flare and howling mines. I have a problem with people that don't know how to make decks without them.

What is your biggest pet peeve about other players? Of course there are the obvious ones like when the other player acts annoying or tries to hurry you up. With me it is the guy that puts mana flare and howling mines in all of his decks.

I was playing Magic when Pokemon and Yugioh came out and it was kinda the consensus that Magic was for adults and Pokemon was for kids. But I'm sure that WOC did take a hit when Pokemon came out. Does anyone know how badly they hurt Magic?

It's very nice to meet everyone on this board. I played Magic on a regular basis from 3rd edition until Apocalypse then I stopped for a few years. One of the main reasons I stopped playing was that I was spending too much money on cards. Then about six months ago, I did some math and realized that even if I only buy 3 packs a month, it will add up to a box in a year.

Now the dilemma I am having is that I know my old cards so intimately that the new ones seem very foreign to me and I have trouble integrating them into my decks. I'm sure that will change over time. I'm sure reading the posts on this board will help me learn more about the newer sets.
