Remind me guys, is there a monogreen T&N combo yet? I have this strange suspicion that some recently released card enabled one...

    MTGO is magic online, yes.

There are no cheaper versions of the card with that art.

That said, the Japanese version is closer to $150, so I'd look for that if you're only worried about the art.

He goes to -4. Usually when you get a negative result for a calculation in Magic you just use 0, but life doubling is one of the few exceptions:
107.1b Most of the time, the Magic game uses only positive numbers and zero. You can’t choose a
negative number, deal negative damage, gain negative life, and so on. However, it’s possible for
a game value, such as a creature’s power, to be less than zero. If a calculation or comparison
needs to use a negative value, it does so. If a calculation that would determine the result of an
effect yields a negative number, zero is used instead, unless that effect sets a player’s life total
to a specific value, doubles a player’s life total, sets a creature’s power or toughness to a
specific value, or otherwise modifies a creature’s power or toughness.

The new legendaries do not seem particularly pushed to me, with the severe exception of Cercee. It's not quite strictly better than Blight Walker (2 less attack at level 3), but holy crap is that an upgrade an an already very commonly played card. The other Forgeborn all seem fairly underwhelming (well, Oros is fine, but not insane), and the other legendaries seem pretty situational and therefore probably not worth using.

I'm currently in this game in a draft. I have a bad feeling about this.

    (I lost.)

The static ability doesn't prevent the Goblins from entering the battlefield. Sure, they'll die before Goblin Assassin's triggered ability has a chance to be put onto the stack, but they've still entered the battlefield, so the Assassin still triggers twice. All it cares about is that creatures entered the battlefield — what happens to them afterwards does not matter.

Okay, I finally figured out what's going on with the New Content page. When you navigate to any page of it directly (including refreshing a page), it works fine. But when you use the page number buttons, it results in all threads appearing read and the new posts button not appearing where appropriate.

Edit: Tiny thing. The old forums.mtgsalvation.com link should probably redirect to mtgsalvation.com/forums, not mtgsalvation.com.

Store prices are completely all over the place, in my experience. The same store might have one standard staple at 1.5x SCG, another at less than SCG, and some random low-demand stuff cheaper than you'll ever find on eBay. The only generalisation I can make is that they're expensive. If you're buying online anyway, stick to that. The chance of anything you want being less than SCG prices at a store is very low.

    See you at the GP!

    1) No "Last Unread Post" option, only "Last Post." Come the next Rumor season, if you check a thread at 12:05, you're going to skip over about 100 comments if you go back twenty minutes later.

First unread post is still an option (and it's still the little arrow after the thread title). However, it only seems to show up if you've already visited the thread. It also seems to be malfunctioning on the new content page (it never seems to show up on pages after page 1). This seems like as good a place as any to request these both be changed (i.e. aside from the bugfix, I'd personally find it hugely useful if it showed up on all threads, and linked to the first post after your last forum visit, like the old one).

A couple of users are reporting being unable to log in after changing their email address:

I have a different problem. Please help!

When I first signed into the new forum I went to change my e-mail address to my current e-mail. After I changed it, I went back to the new MTGS and I was logged out. I went to log in and it didn't work with either my new or old e-mail address. Then I asked for my password to be sent to both e-mail addresses, but it said both e-mail addresses were not in the system!

Help me use MTGS again, please.

    Awesome.

I found the BNG spoiler page from the beta. Take a look.

How will set spoilers be handled in the future? All I see now is a list of cards in BNG, and the only two options are really poor IMO. Either I get a full listing of the cards text with a picture, or I get basically no information. I'd like it if there was an option to see it like it was on the old page, with just text. I guess it's not a high priority but it's something I would like. And again, how will it be handled when there are only parts of a new set spoiled? One of the major reasons why I started using mtgsalvation and one of the reasons why I come here so often is (was?) because of the awesome spoiler format. I really liked the links below each individual card too so you could go to the source and see what people were saying about it.
The link now is to the card database, not our spoiler pages. The database itself will almost certainly be added to in the coming weeks, and your feedback will be taken into consideration. Spoilers will be handled in a very similar manner to how they were on the old site, on a very similar looking page. I can't show you an example right now unfortunately, since we don't have any spoilers live. Once the set is added to our database (i.e. when it goes up on Gatherer), we'll swap the banner to show that instead.

Other than that, the new page is really really slow and I have trouble opening threads at all. There is no issue on any other site so I know it's not my internet connection/computer acting up. I can go into each of the forums and sub-forums but when I click on a thread it usually takes like 5-10 seconds for it to load, and most of the time there's an error message and I can't read the thread. That seems to be a major problem, because if I can't read the forums I have no reason to go here.
Have you been having this problem only in the last hour or two? That sounds like a short-duration problem with the database we just had, but if it's been happening for any longer, then it will need looking into.

The staff as a whole are deciding whether to set a uniform ppp or let each sub's mods decide it for that sub.
