Yay, real post number 1! toot

Anyway, this is a dodgy little combo deck I've been working on for a little while. The idea, obviously, is to do ye olde Thopter Foundry/Sword of the Meek combo (which is no doubt no longer original in the least) and Ironworks my way to infinite Thopters and life. However, I feel it's lacking something. I recently made the switch from UB to WU, so a lot of things still need ironing out, I suspect. Anyway, here it is:

It tends to work fairly well, getting a turn 5 or so win reasonably consistently (it has the ignoble distinction, however, of being the only deck, pre-Dispeller's Capsule, that had no choice but to scoop against Cumber Stone and Leyline of the Meek). Still, there is undoubtedly something really obvious that I'm missing, so please point me in the right direction. I certainly think some mana accel would be good, but can't think what to put in.

(Also, for anyone wondering why I'm using Delay, I refuse to use Counterspell on principle, as well as the fact that Delay's 1U is gentler on the mana base. 3 turns is plenty for me to go off.)

Hey all. To be honest, I don't remember when I began playing Magic, other than that it was sometime between 7th and 8th. Regardless, it's been a fair few years, and I don't know why it took me this long to get to MTGS. Anyway, although the whole game has obviously intrigued me from the start, crazy decks and great flavour have always been my thing. I'm a definite Johnny/Vorthos (although there's still a remnant of Timmy from my early years, I think), and build decks as such. Thus, I've never found it worth my while to get into the competitive scene, especially since my absent-mindedness does not make me the sharpest player. Rather, I build my oddball decks, as well as more straightforward ones, and am quite happy to stick with friendly games and FNM for now.

Anyway, enough about me. I'm sure I'll get to know some of you soon enough. Right now, I need to make the decks in my sig link somewhere.

(Oh yes, and I live in Australia. Yay for erratic pricing and long shipping times! :D)
