I agree with this - what often gets lost is that this is meant to be a fun game - not a millstone.I worry how many people take the whole thing far too seriously.
Wow, I am surprised at the attitude and comments by some posters in this thread. If achieving a 1600 ranking was an important goal for you, then I am glad to hear you have achieved it! Keep working on ways to improve your game and your rating should rise.
People should remember that we were all beginners once! Whether it be Magic in general or more specifically competitive Magic.
Would be interested to hear your opinion on this. At the prerelease one of the players had a friend standing behind him helping him build his deck. Apart from being quiet loud and disruptive part of me also felt that this was an unfair advantage as the guy obviosuly knew the set well.
it's alright to play until you start saying things to your opponent like
"Back in my day, we had to play with 1/1's for 1 in white and we liked it."
Or
"I had to walk 10 miles both ways up hill in the snow to play magic at my local store, whats with all you youngins and this magic online contraption. spoiled that's what your generation is, spoiled"
I would recommend building 2-3 specific decks of your choice, which can actually be done very cheaply using services like Cardshark. I built a Solider deck yesterday and it cost me $2 in total - about £1 for me Much cheaper than paper magic. Good time to get into MTGO imo.
When I logged into MTGO yesterday I had a new deck called Planechase. Is this a free gift or something I have won somewhere ? What is Planechase - should I open the deck ?

EDIT : Sorry - found the answer - please close thread.
Since today's update I can't view my card collection anymore on the collection tab. When I choose this tab MTGO completely closes and I get the error "Index was out of range. Must be negativeand less than the size of the collection".
Does anyone know how I can fix this ? I am worried all my cards are gone.
Would anyone know roughly how much a full set (light and dark) of Arabian Nights cards in excellent condition would be worth ?
Also is it ok to store these cards in a binder - I currently have them in a max protection 4 pocket portfolio.

Also there are other better ways to generate elemental tokens - e.g the shrine ascension card in Zendikar.

Just wondered what you all think - is it still ok for someone to still play magic at say (just an example) 32 ? Are the majority of players under 20 ?
