Avenue Q is Great! If anyone here is not going to see it because its a "musical" your crazy. Yes there is singing but its more a comedy then anything.
In-laws are visiting and spoiling my chances at a Pre-Release so I guess I'll wait until MAY for my shot.
I'm the only one who mentioned Avenue Q and I want to see it despite the musical nature. I'm not against musicals at all really.
And for those not familiar with Avenue Q, it is basically Sesame Street for adults. I'm sure everyone has seen the "Internet is for porn!" videos. That's Avenue Q.
Twin's game tonight followed by a showing of Avenue Q on saturday then prerelease goodness on sunday. Mostly the normal amount of sleep.
And if the cake "is"...then how can it be a lie... O.o
Except for the Twins part, I'm jealous. I've wanted to see Avenue Q for years and when they came through near my home, I was broke. (I'm not opposed to musicals really)
I work tonight, prerelease/Warmachine gaming tomorrow followed by work, then MAYBE a prerelease/work on Sunday followed by a 2 hour drive so I can spend my birthday with my family.
Uh, Slivers tend to show up every few years. While it may have been about the same time period since the last one, it shouldn't come as a surprise that there were none in Rise since there were none in the block.
Let's wait and see if the new Mirrodin gives us artifact slivers everywhere.
Nope. Don't really care for the Magic ones usually for some reason. Mine is just a really awesome but simple one of some reeds emerging from the water.
My phone has a Fallout 3 one that says "Please Stand By".
I don't know my DCI number off the top of my head so I'm good!
Now, SSN, bank account number and university ID number...those are another story. (especially since the first and the last ones there are both 9 digits long)
Yeah, a goblin, spider, snake (unless humanoid), or sliver PW would kind of be outlandish. I don't know much about the "nature of the spark" but I figure intelligence might be a key aspect.
I can't see a spider or sliver as a key character for a story; casting spells and saving planes...
Slivers have shown intelligence before so I think we could potentially see one. Not to mention, they keep evolving. Somehow becoming a Planeswalking species with an intelligent one granting them the ability to Walk seems like an inevitability to me. Could make for an awesome block villain too.
For random hilarity, Llurgoyf. I've loved that creature type since the original goyf, long before Tarmogoyf came along and screwed everything up.
Also, kithkin can die. Too close to gnomes. Bah!
Angel or Demon for me. I'm gonna' say demon because Magic lacks a lot of really cool demons. Lots of cool angels though.
EDIT: Also, IIRC, didn't Slobad get Glissa's spark for a short period or some such? Goblins already got their Walker then. Moving on!
Chalk another up for Selective Memory. So glad they used that art for a playmat since the art is incredible even while I can't find a use for the card.
That's totally getting reprinted next block, right?

Not all creature types fit all block settings. Though Rise does have a hydra, so have fun.

Evangelion?

Warning, it's pretty big. And yes, I keep my desktop that empty. I only put things on it as a temporary measure (like this screenshot).
IIRC, the image comes from the Mac's default set of wallpapers. Got it and others via Lifehacker. I love that site.
Damn. I don't ever have time to even look at my phone for more than a text message while waiting tables, much less surf the forums.

I don't know if he feels mythic but he does feel fun anyway. I'm not sure how I feel about the "Defender" bit they are pushing.
