Can I get someone on here to see if my Wants show up on Pucatrade? I've had cards up for 2 weeks now and no one has sent me anything. Name is same as this one (Chainer3). Thanks guys.

Oh I have and Elspeth, Sun's Champion in my Wants if you want to see if you can find me that way.

FWIW, Found you in the "Everybody" list. Not in the "Recommended" filter. Hope that helps.

Oh I agree, bounties should be banned and enforced. I really loath them.
So, is there an anti-bounty movement within the Puca Community? I'd support trades if I knew that other users are not offering/collecting bounties.

So...are these still out in the wild? To my knowledge, nothing in the Sacramento/Bay Area...though we typically get 'new' promos 3-4 months after the first sighting.

Did the amount discussion/attention of this promo get this pulled from the distributor of these packs?

Just wanna know if I should keep hitting the big box stores or start stalking auctions/trades...

Well, with proper motivation my LGS has acquired the outstanding BFZ boxes. So we will have drafts and singles this Friday and all box preorders will be filled. Their temporary solution was to draft Innastrad instead, which is still an option...tough choice...

I think they dodged a bullet with customers, but at least they were straight forward with situation and offered some sorta solution.

The hunt for Pat Packs continues though...

Not implying a lack of understanding, but to be clear, stores do have limited allocations from distributors as well. For example, if they'll get their product a week before and it's, say, 10 cases...They'll need to set aside those that were preordered and then be sure to allocate enough for their given events that week including prize support for those events. It can get tight even if a store takes full allocation. There's a lot of demand to be had, limited product in a given timeframe, and we really do try to get as much product to you guys as possible. There's just a lot of juggling.

    -An LGS manager
No, I get it, especially with boxes. I guess my gripe is that these notices are showing up days before release. That leaves customers with next to no options other than patience and/or disappointment. I think my LGS is definitely trying to make customers happy by using their inventory for singles and events to fill pre-orders. But, they probably knew before this week? How about calling those with pre-orders and asking if they're willing to wait (and maybe offer some incentive) that way there might be some inventory for singles/events. At this rate, I'm guessing there will still be outstanding pre-orders and non-box buying customers get the shaft for singles/events anyway.

Even prior sets with Shocks/Fetches reprints didn't have these kind of allocation issues. I know many online shops were sold out of BFZ Fat Packs even before Expeditions were announced. Ok, I understand that many customers are buying more sealed product than they normally would due to the full-art lands (specifically Fat Packs), but retailers should be aware of what they typically (pre)sell/receive with any new release and once they reached that threshold, they should have a disclaimer that orders may not ship on day of release. (easier said than done, I"m sure)

Customers perceive pre-orders as 'peace of mind' to be guaranteed to receive that product at release, especially months in advance (loans, as someone else described it). I guess these last minute notices seem kind of...what's the word? Inconsiderate? Incompetent? Insincere? I dunno, depends on your perspective I guess. At this point, I've learned not to take it personal, and just stick with retailers that can handle these periodic panic-storms.

Every time this happens, customer's blame Retailers, Retailers blame Distributors, everyone blames WotC and in the end, no lessons learned. Oh well, we'll ride this panic out for a few weeks and get back to playing magic like nothing happened Grin

    Thanks everyone for your input/insight.

Well, we're 2 days away from release and I've already received 2 notices regarding allocation of product (in the US).

First, due to a distributor shorting them, my LGS will not be drafting BFZ on Friday. They are using that product to try to fill as many box pre-orders as they can (which is cool, but sucks if I don't get my box and can't draft). Who's to say what we'll be drafting the following FNM?

Second, I received a notice from an online retailer stating that for their initial shipment, customers will only be receiving 1 box per order of BFZ. Customers can either wait for subsequent shipments or change/cancel orders. Their Fat Pack allotment is limited and sounds like not all orders will be filled. Waiting to hear what that really means.

Now the jaded/conspiracy theorist in me thinks that retailers will use these shortages as an opportunity to fill orders that purchased product later at higher prices and short/cancel those that ordered early at 'normal' pricing. I hope that's not the case but, I have no way of knowing otherwise...

I hope everyone that pre-ordered in a timely fashion receives their order.

Has anyone seen any in Californa?

Nothing yet around Sacramento. I can't say for the rest of the state, but we here only started seeing the Xathrid Necromancer and Genesis Hydra promos this month...

How many quests that are not arcetype-quests are there?

I have not seen any other quests beside the 'Final duel of planeswalker story' quests and the 'win 2/4 games with certain arcetype' quests.

Are the quests randomly assigned, so I have just been unlucky?
Yeah, I want to echo this question too. I'm on iOS if that helps.
Also, I have yet to purchase any boosters, I'm at Rank 8 in Vs. mode and I've completed all Campaigns/Stories. Maybe there is more that needs to be done to get non-arctype quests?

No shipping confirmation yet for my order (and it's just for the MtG set)...but I'm hearing about shipping notices with the other exclusives (Stormtrooper/TF/etc.), but none with the Planeswalkers...

Edit: Just got off the phone with HTS, and my order was on hold. Some sort of screening process about duplicate orders, just had to verify my info and it was all good. I know they are busy, but I got no notification that it was on hold... how long are orders put on hold before cancelled? If I didn't call, who knows if I would have gotten my order. The phone Rep was nice though, considering how many similar calls they've had to deal with in 48 hours.

Yeah, I agree that the novelty is beginning to wear a little thin. The first time anything like this hits, it usually catches everyone off guard, like the 1st FTV/DuelDeck/MMA set. Then by the 2nd release, everyone's ready, even WotC anticipates more demand by printing larger quantities.

I think adding the extra 'swag' is sorta hurting these. A nerf axe and even a book increases perceived value, but at the end of the day, they are not cards.

With end of the core sets, I wonder if next year will be completely different. It sorta needs to be, the Blk-on-Blk style is certainly unique, but they gotta change it up. They don't release the other Hasbro exclusives in the same color scheme every year, so why should we Magic fans get the same paint job year after year.

I also did SDCC 2014. This post will echo most of dwchang's info.

    Here's my Hasbro Exclusive Experience:

Went to Preview Night: Hasbro did not sell Exclusives to Exhibitors/Vendors (supposedly, I can't verify this claim). I don't believe tickets are distributed on Preview Night, since the booths for those are in the Sails Pavilion. I headed straight the Hasbro booth, by the time I got there, they had sold out of that night's allotment of Exclusives.

Figured I'd call it a night and get up early for the Ticket line. Due to the long drive to San Deigo and Preview Night, I wasn't motivated to get up early on Thursday Morning...

Headed out Friday morning @ 5am. The line was huge! It wrapped around the convention center towards the ferry landing. Seems folks were camping out in line since 7-8pm the night before. So, I waited anyway, line started moving towards the convention center around 7:30-8:00am. By the time I made it to the Sails Pavilion entrance all that days tickets were gone. Don't be shy, ask what the line if for, it could be the line for Hall H or something else.

By the end of Friday, there was still product available, though no one at Hasbro would say how much or longer it would last. So Saturday was the critical day to score the Exclusive. So I did as much of the con stuff that I wanted and prepared to camp out over night.

Having run the gauntlet the day before, I knew where the line was forming and by 8pm it was already really long. Also, I was not prepared as some. Folks had sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, lawn chairs. Other ordered pizza and were watching videos on their tablets. I brought a bottle of water, almonds and a power bar in a courier bag (which I used as a pillow). The only thing I had to entertain myself was the SDCC program book/guide...for 12 hours. I must say, using the buddy-system when camping out is a good idea, since you can keep your place in line for bathroom breaks or even sleep in shifts in your hotel room/car if they're close enough. Also, don't let the length of the line discourage you, not everyone there is going to the Hasbro booth.

By 6:30am Con Security is waking people up. While the line looked long the night before, once everyone collected their camping gear, the line started to inch closer to the building. They open up the Pavilion at about 7:30 and people pour in, breaking out to the table/booths of the tickets they want. So, you're in line again, hoping to get a ticket. Hasbro distributes tickets with 'start times' in 2 hour blocks starting at 10am and ending at 4pm (maybe 6, don't recall). Get your ticket and hop in other line(s) if you want other exclusives. (Tickets are only good for that day, as they have the day and time printed on them. If you don't redeem it that day, you have do the gauntlet again)

After that, if you have an "early AM" ticket, you have to make your way to the Exhibit Hall entrance line, which is upstairs in front of the escalators that will empty out in front the of the Hall. Doors open at 9am. Then you have to survive the stampede (the escalator was so overloaded it stopped!) and make your way to the Hasbro booth...Find the volunteer with the "End of Hasbro Line" sign. And get in line. At this time you might be propositioned by others in line to buy Exclusives you're not interested to trade for Exclusives they're not buying but you are interested in. Hasbro is aware of this practice and only ask you not the make the transaction in front of the booth.

And that's how I met your mother scored my SDCC 2014 Planeswalker set. It was an experience for sure, was it worth it? Depends if the camping conflicts with any other SDCC events. It's all about priorities. At SDCC, you're mostly waiting in line for anything 'important/interesting" anyway, so plan what you want to see/buy and when they line up. I think the longest line is for getting into Hall H.

Note: Each day seems to have it's own allotment, so while an exclusive won't completely sell out the first day or two, there is a limited number for that day, and most days seem to exhaust the supply by late afternoon. Since I didn't go the Exhibitor's Hall on Sunday, word on the street was that the MtG set was sold out for the rest of the con by Saturday afternoon.

I wonder what the MSRP on this is going to be.

MSRP is going to be 120$ Uhh

yeah, it's gonna be close to that. I think these 'extras' are a means to prevent/minimize hoarding @ SDCC? The first exclusive was $60-65 and I heard people were buying like 10! But, with a book/axe they can double the price without having to add 'playable' cards and folks might not buy as many?

I like the book idea more than the Nerf toy, I hope this is the new direction for extras in the future.

No way... people camp out 2 days early to get into Comic Con just to buy these to flip and make an extra 100-200? I could just be working those days and buy 2 lol. Like there usually isnt enough product to just buy them when you get to the Con the day it starts?

They have quite a few, but they have a very liberal limit per customer,
so the first people in line buy all of them and make tons of money :p

The situation would be *much* better if they limited each customer to one set.

Last year they did limit it to 1 per "badge" as they stamped a grid on the back of your badge and stamped/checked of the boxes of the exclusives you purchased. I say one per badge, since they don't valid who has the badge, you if you have more than one ticket you can get inline again with a 'clean' badge (or give your ticket to a friend. Also, you could trade exclusives while in line, like I could buy the StarWars/Transformers Exclusive [that I don't want] and trade it to a SW/TF fan who doesn't want the MtG set). I also believe they did not sell to Exhibitors/Vendors on preview-night. Each day had an allocation, so you could wait in line with a ticket, and still not get one. They completely sold-out by late Saturday afternoon.

The Key is to get a ticket for that day. There is no limit on the number of tickets you can get (though, you have get back in line for each one.) Once you have that day's ticket(s) you can recruit other fans to buy on your behalf. Not a perfect system, but it was an improvement over the previous year's limit of 2 per person. Also, camping out is essential to get a ticket. Better get in line by 8pm, probably no later than 11pm.

FYI, Miniatures Market has boxes up for $275.

That's way too high, dozens available under $250 shipped on eBay now.

While that maybe the case on eBay, I'd rather pay a little more from a source that is known to deliver (SCG/CF/CSI/MM) rather than from sellers like "fuzzylumpkin" who deals in Yugioh singles, but now has access to 40+ boxes MM2015...I dunno that just seems...off to me.

So many Pre-Orders from MM1 went unfulfilled, it was quite the fiasco...

No update to my email as of this morning.
But I do see something that might be related over on Reddit.
Sounds like things might have progressed enough to the point we can/should send cards? It's not exactly clear, the Puca Admin's post might only be directed to the trader that started the thread as I'm still seeing the Temp Hold instead of the recipient's address.
