I kinda hope so. With legacy, you have things like what happened with Candelabra of Tawnos. Its on the reserved list, so it won't ever be printed, but that didn't really matter up until recently. Then all of a sudden it is in high demand and there simply aren't many in print, so no matter how much money you have, actually getting one is somewhat difficult. This over-extended will hopefully mitigate that problem.
Seems to me like it evens out the swingy nut draws that green can get, and it makes it so that every time you generate a ton of mana with lotus cobra or what have you, something can be done with the mana.
Funny, I remember MaRo talking about what he called double scoop vanilla fairly recently, that being a creature with two keywords (the example being Blackcleave Goblin) and how he didn't like it very much because they are boring. And ya know, he is right. Child of Night stats would be too good with infect, I suppose.
Drawing a card is almost always better than a bear, unless you are playing a deck full of squires. If you are considering diluting your mill deck with leyline of the void or whatever, you are spending multiple card slots to cancel something that your opponents will only be playing one or two of. I like this card and making an army of bears might end up being very good, especially if some kind of weenie deck or something gets popular, but I feel like it isn't an instant classic. Though I do remember that people were fairly unimpressed with Vengevine and complained it was mythic when it maybe shouldn't have been, but Vengevine ended up being very good so this might be too.
Anyone else notice that most of the replies in this thread are, in fact, not people complaining about blue but people making fun of the few people who think blue is overpowered. There's your "lol forum community is teh suxor".
Use this as an opportunity to go flex those deckbuilder muscles. If banning a single card destroys an entire archetype, go and build a deck that beats the new best thing. Take this as an opportunity to build your own deck and not just netdeck the one that won the last tournament.
What, exactly, is Nameless Race's creature type? Does it have one? What would I name with Patriarch's Bidding or something similar is the main question.
Unless the commander is just stone nothing, that is what I will be getting. It will be awesome.
