I didn't know bird was a supported tribe lol. Subtypes always matter, especially supported tribes and things like arcane. And even if you discount that then the mana symbols matter. But I won't derail this thread any further. If you still disagree with me take it up with Heliod.
You obviously haven't met my Tribal Bird Kangee EDH deck
I was reading the memoriam, and what really got me was getting to Adam Styborski's post. Him posting one of Mike's little quips, and then saying 'I wish you could delete it instead.' That was so heart-wrenching.
RIP Mike.
To the three who respond to the land cut, why cut Glimmervoid? I thought it would be a good land for the artifact deck to use. I have artifacts in U/B with a splash in W and it lets you play some of those harder to play things.
Idk, this may be because I personally play tempo Jeskai in draft, but I never have enough cards by turn 5 to make Master the Way worth it, even if I play it turn 5. Also I'm freaking out cause Singing Bell Strike is in my opinion the best common in the set, especially for Jeskai. I've also had great success with Disdainful Stroke, and why take out Bloodfire Expert? He's Jeskai's Alpine Grizzly.
As for the draft itself, I would have done much of the same, here's my deviations:
Pack 1, Pick 6: You took Leaping Master, which I would have taken Bloodfire Expert over.
Pack 2, Pick 1: You took Winterflame, I would have taken Savage Knuckleblade. This is THE format to get greedy, I've only not run 4-color once and that was an awful Sultai abomination. Every other time I went 4-color I never had problems splashing, this format has SO MUCH FIXING. Get greedy, have fun!
Pack 2, Pick 2: You took Arrow Storm, I would have taken Set Adrift. I just don't like Arrow Storm for Jeskai, it's so slow for 4 or 5 damage. Also having a one of Delve card in your deck is so good cause when you draw it, you're all set. Also this again may be biased because I love tempo Jeskai.
Pack 2, Pick 3: You took Mistfire Weaver, I would have taken Tranquil Cove. I honestly don't know how I feel about the Weaver and this is about where I start working on my fixing. Maybe your pick was the right one but I would have done this. Although taking that Tranquil sets you up for...
Pack 3, Pick 6: You took Tranquil Cove, I would have taken Mindswipe.
So the token deck has been very good in my Cube. I'm looking to possibly neuter it again, but I'm not sure if I'm just overanalyzing or if it's warranted.
Here's my token producers and cards that have synergy with tokens:
I know a lot of these are considered "bad" cards, what I'm asking is is the token strategy too heavy here? I'm thinking I could maybe cut green token support (leaving Garruk, Doubling Season and maybe Sprout Swarm) although I do run the Beacons as a cycle (I know the opinions that cycles are bad in cube and the only good Beacon is Beacon of Unrest). Would I be able to keep this amount and maybe add more token hate? Or should I cut from here?
Never even thought of Dawnbringer Charioteers, I think I'll test that instead, although I don't have to much to trigger heroic.
I also was running Echoing Truth to help give Blue a cheap option against tokens. I haven't seen to many strong token strategies since I neutered the token deck a bit so I was considering adding something else.
So at my release draft, Jeskai Charm was my MVP when played with other tempo cards like Singing Bell Strike and Bring Low. Just play doods, get rid of blockers with removal, then 2nd mode to deal 4 to the dome for the win. Jeskai can't really late game, you have to win early (although I splashed Green for Sagu Mauler for mid-game help and because it's just so good). Jeskai Charm's 1st and 2nd modes are great. I don't know about the third, though, I never used it, and never really needed to.
I drafted Jeskai with a splash for Bloodsoaked Champion and Sagu Mauler. I'm playing against G/B.
I manage to tempo him and he's down to 4, and I hadn't drawn an Island. I had Bloodsoaked Champion and a morph creature, he has a morph creature. He ends up Arc Lightninging and 2 for 1's me, un-morphing a Woolly Mammoth guy. He also gets his Bloodsoaked Champion. I hadn't take damage so I just draw morph doods and pray to get an island, I have a Jeskai Charm in hand. I manage to play a morph guy, he plays Trumpet Blast and Awaken the Bear to drop me to 1. It's either I draw an Island and kill him, or I don't and lose. I close my eyes and say "Trust the heart of the cards," and then shout "YU-GI-OH!" and drop the Island I topdecked onto the field.
I know topdeck PWNED plays are lame, but this was too amazing to not post.
Similar to Shards of Alara, I like the lands corresponding to their respective clans. Shards of Alara had some very great art (especially the Esper-alligned arts) and these ones don't disappoint.
Well we're talking about maybe like Echoing Truth or Bile Blight so maybe Maelstrom could work in that same vein. Would Ratchet Bomb be too strong against tokens by allowing each color access to it? Besides that I'm thinking Wildfire could work.

RIP Mike.
And the functional reprints:
Dromoka Warrior as Blade of the Sixth Pride
Palace Familiar as Surveilling Sprite
Shambling Goblin as Festering Goblin but adding an "opponent controls" clause
Kolaghan Aspirant as Ashmouth Hound
Twin Bolt as Fire from Fire//Ice
And on top of all that they reprinted Island...again! Jeez! It's like they reprint that card almost every set!
Cut 5:
For reference, I run a 360 card modern cube. I already have all 10 shocks, all 10 refuges from KTK, and the 5 allied fetches.

Cloudgoat Ranger or Celestial Archon?
Vapor Snag or Echoing Truth?
Dig Through Time or Forbidden Alchemy?
I also am thinking about Seraph of Dawn, should I try it out over either Benalish Commander, Calciderm, or Kor Sanctifiers or leave it as is?

Currently I run specifically to get rid of tokens:
So should I maybe add some more that would take care of tokens? I don't want to completely hose tokens just make them a little less powerful.
