Ok, well I just checked original sets on every mythic from MM1, and they were at or within 10% between Jun 6, and July 31 and going up/down (down in case of elspeth and dargons) after. I used Mtgprice for this calculation. I'm not saying the set is great for commons/uncommons although better than others are saying, dismember, eldrazi temple, cranial plating, expedtion map, etc are cards. I think $240 is a fair msrp on the set and a fair price to be buying boxes at. The number of people cancelling preorders because the EV isn't around 300+ for them is funny.
I don't remember box values for MM1 dropping after the set came out due to value. I do remember pack prices going up after it came out and was unavailable a week later, but maybe that's just my region.
I'm not saying it's a good/bad idea to buy boxes of this set, I'm just pointing out that expecting prices to drop on boxes isn't as likely as you think.
I just don't get how this thread turned into a spiral of depression. This set's actually really good, and this feels like the quote of $100 bills and you guys *****ing about them being folded wrong. If MM1 had been $10 you guys would be doing the same thing you are now, and if this set was $7 90% of this complaining would be gone.
I read Jeffbcrandall's post in the last page showing how the EV of a box is $200 assuming prices dropping 20% on mythics, and 40% on rares. Except they've already done 2/3 of that drop. So the Ev's closer to $260-290. Just pointing that out. Right now, and on release the EV of a booster box is above MSRP. Dragons of tarkir on release day was around $100, so this is where I ask, are all of the complaints coming from people who buy boxes on ebay or their LGS'es? How much do you pay for a box at your LGS? $110? $120? At that point, I truly believe this to be the vocal minority *****ing. Just my 2 cents.
It's easy to cancel preorders. If the seller gives you a hard time, you simply go through your CC processor and file a chargeback, and they take the cash out of the sellers account nearly every time and give it back to you. That's why I use my CC for big ticket items, it's another layer of protection for me. Just pay the balance off when you get the bill and it's no biggie.
And when the set turns out to be amazing, and the business decided to cancel your preorder it's understandable.
No it was actually Wizards, as it was Wizards Direct ----> Distributors. When Wizards did it, the distributors quickly followed. It also went into effect before Fate Reforged, so for multiple sets there was no stockpiling for the next order.
So is there a way I can just browse cards and find what I want to send out, without having to list them all on Pucatrade 1st? I ask, because I want to just use it to send out decently priced cards, and not have to worry about listing 10k cards ist.
The winning play is sac redcap to pod for archangel of thune. Redcap comes back and shoots token for 1. Then play Spike Feeder. Use counter to gain 2 HP. At this point your opponent is forced to use vapor snag, but it doesn't matter where he's still dead. If used on Goyf, the infinite activations makes Heirarch lethal. If used on Heirarch same thing. If used on Archangel, you can still use spike feeder one more time, getting the +1/+1 counter in response then attack for 7 with 6/7 goyf + Exalted (or just swing with noble + Goyf, but better plays). If he tries to bounce Feeder same thing.
Now of course if he makes the optimal play of bouncing in upkeep that's a different story. Wait no it's not. Bouncing Redcap on upkeep allows you to recast targetting him then sac to pod targetting token. Bouncing Goyf allows you to get archangel and kill with noble.
So yeah there's your optimal way to win the ******* game. Of note, gaining infinite life vs delver is the same thing, but I'm under the assumption we're on MODO where infinite life is more like 30-40 and therefore still breakable. Also I'm a Melira Pod player, so the ability to just e witness spellskite is my play there. Also Goyf seems So bad in Pod, and I think you guys have went away from what makes Pod good, but that's neither here nor there. Think more about your combo and you can find your outs.
So a customer picked up a red deck, and wanted a replacement since it was miscut on 80-90 of the cards. You can see borders on about 1/2 of them and the copyright is miscut and visible on about 80 of them since it's a slight diagonal miscut. I'll put pics up later, but any ideas on value?
Yeah I'm in this as a store owner, so I know of some of the mess. I don't know how tradable the cards are, some of them seem like they'd be really hard to get though. Especially the ultra rares. I'd expect in a few months the starter cards will be a lot better, and the game can start growing.

Basically it's cut off on the date hard. Cutoff mid number on the 2. Any idea on value?

This is a trap IMO.
