\However, if you look at Nezumi Ronin and Warpath Ghoul - two bad commons - for example, Ronin is so much better (it hits the same amount of damage when unblocked, and when blocked, does more. Whenever the additional thoughness would be needed - which is only when a 1/1 blocks it - the Ronin has it). Also, there was Jitte, Ninja of the Deep Hours, etc... It wasn't a bad block at all.
While i do see where you're going, i feel like the bushido was a tradeoff for the extra point of toughness, not necessarily an improvement. Tim would rather take on the Ronin, and the group of Tim spells make bushido look like a cheap trick. Also, there are only 3 cards in that block that even give bonuses to the creature type "rat", 4 in the game if you include swarmyard, and only 8 that help samurai. In contrast, everyone and their mother is a zombie or a warrior, and since they just did a big thing about "creature types matter", i feel like the ghoul is at least on par with the ronin, all things considered.
Progenitus does have protection from Perish, however. It cannot be attached by, targetted by, blocked or damaged by any card named "Perish". I'm just noting this as a demonstration regarding cards that can both mass remove and block/equip/target at the same time (such as Magenta the Lion).
Not sure if this is what you mean, but if you're bringing up that Progenitus can be destroyed by Mageta's activated ability even though Progenitus can't be blocked by Mageta, then yes, you're right.
Crucible allows you to play land cards. It does not allow you to activate activated abilities of lands in your graveyard, because all it allows you to do is play the land card from your graveyard.
1: Cemetery Reaper 1: Siege Gang Commander
1: Magma Phoenix
1: Malfegor: What are you expecting that Chain Reaction and Phoenix can't handle?
1: Bojuko Bog
1: Anowon, The Ruin Sage: depending on your deck, i could go either way on this guy
1: Basilisk Collar 1: Goblin Razerunner
1: Lightning Reaver
1: Chandra, Nalaar 1: Mana Barbs: When are you gonna need this?
1: Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs
1: Chain Reaction
Some of the choices are great, but the ones i commented on in italics seemed questionable to me.
The only other one is Ethereal Usher, but it's double blue and i didn't want to destroy the manabase. Also, how about the B/R shockland so that you can always fetch any color? Blood Crypt
You've got something pretty sweet here. The main problem is getting Iname out, not so much accelerating it out as much as drawing him. Not too sure what to do about this, though.
How about Netherborn Phalanx as Iname 5-8? Plus he's a body to come out after the End.
I agree with the plethora of posters who keep reminding us a straight port of Jund won't suffice. But since we're open-minded people, we can start with +1pulse, goyf, jitte, and Cruel Edict/Smallpox, etc
I would facepalm, but I just want to laugh at this. Protection only works on things that target the permanent that has protection. This is why even Kor Firewalker can be killed with Earthquake.
Sacrifice is non-targeted. This is why even creatures with shroud can still be sacrificed. Because Sacrifice doesn't use targeting, protection from "sacrifice" doesn't do anything.
Well, protections stops damage, so Kor Firewalker can't be killed by Earthquake.
Also, I'm pretty sure the design space is "~ can't be sacrificed", similar to the "~ is indestructible" wording. I like the idea.
Follow-up question: If there is a non-artifact creature card in your opponent's graveyard and no cards in your graveyard, but everything else about the given scenario remains the same, does the Tarmogoyf survive?
Yes; the last step of a spell resolving is to put it into the GY, and then SBEs are checked, seeing 2 cards in the grave and a 2/3 goyf with 2 damage on him.
The baloth looks pretty big, but it suffers from the same problem as Elephants; the squire looks like a mouse, so it freaks and takes off in the opposite direction.
Junktroller + Intruder Alarm allows you to go infinite, and you can use something like Ashnod's Altaras a colorless sac outlet. And if you like 6 card combos, you can throw in Flame Fusillade or Furystoke Giant. Now, if you want a realistic, 4 card combo, Reito Lantern and the altar with the hermit and verdant make a less complicated, mono-green combo. You just need a cost-reducing effect for the Lantern, and you can go infinite.

no, because the delayed trigger is not printed on the token, it's set up by the original card.
