It will die in the same way as pokémon did.... when the game designers (in this case wizards) run out of ideas for new products (in this case cards and in pokémon's case new pokémon for new generations)
I vote that MTG will die when the cards start becoming really stupid in appearance, rules, and fluff.
Pokemon isn't dead. It's as popular if not more so than GSC generatoin. It has a large and competitive community with multiple formats much like magic. I don't think it will last more than 3-4 more generations of new pokemon but it still has life in it.
Also, I don't think magic will die any time soon. It's flavor comes from creating fantasy settings, and authors of fantasy novels have had hundreds of years of a head start on making those and they still aren't done coming up with unique ones.
Mechanically, it could start to fall apart. There are a finite amount of interactions between cards in magic, and eventually they will run out of interesting ways to manipulate those interactions. I doubt that this will happen in the next 5-10 years. Scars showed that you could take an old mechanic (affinity) and mix it up a little bit (metalcraft) and make it an entirely new game space. I think we have a few more revisits to Dominaria, Alara, and Mirrodin before gameplay starts to get stale.
Well assuming they are all mountains of some kind, you only need to pull 10 cards to win. If you are turn 4 going off, that means you have about 49 cards left in the deck (ignoring probing and wraiths), which means there should be one every 12 cards or so.
I don't feel like doing the probabilities, I'm guessing someone already has, but its probably a coin flip. Has anyone done any math on which option is superior? I know theorycrafting isn't always helpful, but in this case where how close to actually goldfishing this is I'd find it reassuring.
Can 2 land belcher be reasonably done? I haven't played it in modern at all, and my experience with it in legacy was limited. I'm running 4 land in mine just to be on the safe side.
Well which one can kill 3 opponents the quickest after drawing fire? I'd like to think Zur can end games quite rapidly once you've got the ball rolling.
I may attempt to throw my hat into the ring. I have an idea, but I find that I can only work when particularly inspired, and attempting to write without inspiration is like juicing a rock.
I like Glissa. I'm not sure how abusable she is, but she's a great blocker, and hard to block. In the GB color combination, I would more readily choose Thelon or Nath, unless you want to do some sort of Mindslaver lock with a pinger equipment.
Thada Adel, Acquisitor voltron. Gets better the richer your opponents are. Oh, sol ring? Don't mind if I do. Sword of Fire and Ice + Light and Shadow + Body and Mind? I'm perfectly fine with this proposition.
they can both continue to do it in response.... how do the rules effect who wins? o.0 because i know they have to pick a number o.0
I could be wrong but I think it goes to the non-active player because the active player chooses when to stop and the other player can respond one last time. Don't quote me on that, though.
Arcane Laboratory makes your creatures immune to all spot removal. Thada Adel, Acquisitor is great for taking advantage of opponents that use artifact acceleration/sweet equipment.
Look at the top 50 per color list for inspiration. Also if you post your list (in either the 1v1 or multiplayer forum) we can suggest things based on what you have.

I think you are misreading it. He used bribery, then Echo Mage'd a kicked Rite of Replication to pull the Darksteel Gargoyle, then copy it 15 times.
