I'm not quite sure you understand the purpose of this deck. Sorry if my OP is unclear. You stall until your opponent decks themselves through cards like Howling Mine. Lightning Bolt is useless here.
Fertile Ground is interchangeable between the two, my deck is built for post rotation.
You don't want ramp in this deck. Its a slow paced deck. You have 16 turns worth of stall cards. Garruk could be a replacement for Ajani if you prefer that, but usually in my experience, you will never have mana troubles past turn 4 (when you play garruk)
I wandered over here from the Wizards forums because it turns out that my work blocks it :(. I couldn't help but notice that there was no fog thread, much less a Nayafog thread, so I decided to put it up here for some fresh discussion.
]Nayafog is a promising new decklist that involves cards like Fog and Intimidation Bolt to stall while Howling Mine and Font of Mythos deck them out. Like the name implies, it runs Red, White, and Green
Matchups in general for this deck are good against aggro, bad against control. Which is good, considering that Aggro is on the rise. However, that means that the sideboard has to be packed against Control. Stags and Behemoths crush anything that wants to counter, and a Stag should elicit a GG from traditional fae.
I really hope to hear your guys thoughts on this deck (apologies if it has already been discussed, I put fog into the search function and found nothing)
