My BW tokens, RDW, and RG werewolves are completely unaffected by this card. That means only my competition is being slammed. Less variety in tier 1 decks = less varied responses, loosens up my SB, etc.

IMO, standard play is for competitive players. There are plenty of other less expensive and less strict formats where having fun is more important, standard is about winning. This card helps my decks do that. Go play commander if you want to have fun/socialize/show creativeness. That's where I go when Im not wanting to flex my nerd muscles.

If standard is meant for competitive players and you are one of them why are you playing RG Werewolves?

This creature should see play alongside Autumn's Veil to protect it from Dismember. I believe that it is a very powerful play to Pod a Strangleroot Geist into Predator Ooze.

How is that a powerful play?. Rolleyes

Ive had too many bad experiences using wurmcoil engine lately only to see an Ancient grudge tear apart the tokens. Also, our new land makes the LL/DT on the tokens somewhat redundant, again degrading the value of wurmcoil. As stated though, time will tell if red remains a prevalent color among the top decks.

I still dont understand why youre trying to push Bkeeper so hard. Everyone else seems to have agreed that in our current aggro based meta he is lackluster. Even in a control based meta, he will be destroyed, exiled, or bounced back to your hand before you can even think about reaching five tokens. No evasion on a 3/3 body for four mana. No thanks.

Yes against aggro he is lackluster but against control and ramp he is great hence why he is in the sideboard for those matchups.

But hero has a nearly irrelevant form of evasion, and isnt even good enough for most competitive RDW lists nowdays anyway.

Where this card has legit reach.

So if Hero isn't good enough for most competitive RDW lists how is this good enough?.

Mental Misstep just became a whole lot better with the printing of that Cage.

I'd imagine will see it in alot of sideboards in the near future in all formats.

I think people are forgetting his ability is MUCH better then battlecry

But Hero has evasion this is just a vanilla 3/3 with haste so Hero is still better in RDW.

6 mana I get Primeval Titan or this which one do I choose?.

Regardless this card is utter crap and will end up in the $1 bin along with most of the other rares in this set.

It could see play in constructed in some sort of token build probably RW.

Yes in RDW Hero of Oxid Ridge is just going to be better most of the time.

Overall I think there is a good chance it will at least see some play in standard.

Won't see play it's to slow and the only deck it would fit into Dungrove Green doesn't want it.

Ok in limited in a defensive deck as a mana prism with benefits but no chance in constructed formats.

Pretty good combat trick in limited but that's about it I'm afraid meh overall.

This card is just more evidence that WotC are trying to push towards more creature based strategies in this game.

Disgustingly good will see play in every format.

Looks like it could be playable in some sort of RW token deck in constructed pretty good card overall.

This card is the best hoser ever printed by a long way.

It shuts down Dredge in Legacy and Vintage as well as all Reanimator strategies in all formats.

The fact you can tutor for this with Trinket Mage makes it even more absurd.
