I've been testing with the GP deck online and haven't lost to red or landfall once. The 4x maindeck Jaddi Offshoot and the 4x Hangarback Walkers buy you more than enough time to get to Ugin/Ulamog, both of which they cannot handle.
I had great success with the red splash with Blood Moon in the side. I'd probably put them in the main if I picked this deck up again. Also, I'd run Bolt over Helix.
I was originally running Siege, but it costs two more mana than Jace so I was looking to him as a replacement. You are correct that there aren't many spells we will want to flash back. Perhaps Tormenting Voice is just better. For a while I ran Sultai Charm as that also doubled as removal.
I basically refuse to give up on this deck because it's so much fun. Has anyone considered Jace in this deck? He can help filter cards into/out of your hand and into the graveyard to fuel delve for Soulflayer.
I sleeved up Kasreyn's Bant list from a few pages back and fast aggro seemed to be an issue - namely Goblins. I think the number of CiPT lands was a problem, as I wasn't able to reliably use my mana efficiently.
Probably going to run this at Regionals tomorrow as I highly doubt anyone will be expecting it, and it's a deck that has performed well for me in the past. Though to be honest, I haven't tested much in the post-Origins meta, and by "much" I mean "not at all." YOLO, though. This is probably what I'll end up running:
Ideally that is what I'd like to run, as I think there is great synergy between Den Protector/Deathmist Raptor/Butcher. I realize I am quite a few cards over, so I'd probably have to cut the Rhinos and the Dragonlords. Maybe I could cut a number of the Raptors/Den Protectors so that I can keep a few Rhinos/Dragons.
I had a bit of an unlucky run at the PPTQ this past weekend. Finished 2-3, with every match going to 5 games. I never felt out of any match, and I could just as easily finished 5-0. The Amulet matchup was easily the hardest of the day. My sideboard was not well-equipped for that tournament, as I never sided in Stony Silence, and my Zealous Persecutions didn't do much. I would've rather had some more removal and probably some Disenchants. Ajani Goldmane was awesome, as was Bitterblossom. If nothing else, Bitterblossom eats targeted removal.
