Really what I meant was changerooms at, for example, a community centre pool/gym.

Sheesh, next thing you know people under the age of 18 won't be able to use public changerooms because they're corrupting one another.

Rick: Bah, Frets on Fire doesn't work with Vista (I got stuck with it when I got my new computer from Dell.)

Speaking of which, Vista's doesn't live up to its bad reputation (if that makes any sense.) I've only had it crash a couple times, mostly when I've left programs on for days, which I really shouldn't be doing. It runs smoothly, and I love the fact that if you turn it off via the start menu, as opposed to forcing it through the power button, you can boot right to where you were, everything saved, and ready to go.

Edit: Whoops, 1.5K I knew I was saving it for here, but I forgot that I was just at it. Oddly enough, all my other posts on the page still say 1499. Weird.

@Neko - I haven't played Guitar Hero III, becaus eyou know, I'm not into consoles. But I did download the GH3 pack for Frets on Fire. I don't play it a lot though - I got my Epiphone SG and an amp, and thus prefer the real thing, thank you very much. Wink

Epiphone SG? No way. Cherry or Ebony? My bass is cherry, and I love it.

Car: I kept thinking: When is he going to get his blue tag? Then I remembered that it was trophies. I have been away for a while. Congrats by the way.

Guitar Hero III. Working on one song to perfection may seem boring to some, but there's something awesome about being able to play a challenging song.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then He is impotent. Is He able, but not willing? Then is He malevolent. Is He both able and willing? Whence then is evil?" -David Hume

Not that I believe Hume, but he does present a good point. There are many ways to attack his argument, and I have a few, but I don't want to sway the debate too much right now.

So the question is. If God is all-good, why does he allow evil (or bad things in general)? (humour me by accepting that there is a God, or just judge the theory. Saying God doesn't exist really doesn't add much to the debate.)

(God how I wish Furor was here)

My answer: He isn't required to. One, we would be nothing but puppets, unable to choose. Even if we could choose from many good choices that would only be the illusion of freedom. Two good is required to contrast evil. What use is being able to resist temptation if there is nothing to tempt? Three evil is like cold. It's a descriptive word, but it isn't a measure on it's own. To continue the temperature metaphor, we can go from as high a temperature as there can be (something moving at the speed of light? I don't know) down to no heat (absolute zero) without ever passing anything know scientifically as cold. It isn't a duality, cold is just a way of saying less heat. In the same way, evil is a lack of love and goodness.

But really, I'd like to hear from you. (because philosophising is hard when you're tired.)

    Hey everyone,

Car, you got that vote from me. :p I haven't paid much attention to the storyline for quite some time. I still have yet to read that TS book I got in the fat pack just before I pretty much quit magic (although the 'mill still calls from time to time; I like to see what's happening in the world of Magic.) The entire effectively killing off what it means to be a planeswalker (from what I have gleaned) is sad. And what happened to Jaya and Windgrace, my favourite 'walkers? I'd hate to hear they met their end.

Also, hearty congratulations to James for RM poster of the year. You earned it the hard way. :p

On another note, anyone here picked up Guitar Hero III? Jess has it, and we've worked our way from easy to hard. It's super fun. Also, Cliffs of Dover, Knights of Cydonia, and The Devil Went Down to Georgia are great songs, and super fun to play (they're all late game too, so they're some of the most challenging too.)

And bah, finally the Wii is getting more good games; NiGHTS looks like a blast, and Brawl (OMFG Sonic :p) is shaping up incredibly. And Phantom Hourglass was awesome but short for the DS.

Oh My God. I don't know why but I almost jumped when you said that. 0_0

I'm waiting right now for Jess to come back with Civ4: Beyond the Sword (birthday gift, but when I offered to split the cost with her, I found out.) I'm not sure if I should have gotten her addicted. :p

Well, other than Sympatico being the most irritating internet service provider I've ever used, there something that I've been trying to find the words to explain it. I can't really think of a way to say it without writing many many paragraphs on what is still a rather painful subject. Well, and I didn't add to the girl drama that was going. :p

Hello all, I thank goodness I'm alive. Why you may ask? Well, this past weekend I was in Saint-Catherines (near Niagra Falls) visiting the family of my girlfriend (if people want more details about this, ask, I just don't want to bring it up if people are having problems of their own.) I was pretty sure I wasn't going to **** it up, but there was always that possibility nagging at the back of my head. The trip was fun, I won favour with her extended family by spending a lot of time playing with the young children (I was the only one who could keep up with them. :p) Speaking of which, I was playing tag with the children, and while I wasn't paying attention, Reese (six, and the player who was it,) ran up to me, and honest to God punched me in the junk saying "tag, you're it." It didn't hurt, but it was the most terrifying experience that weekend. The look on Jess' (girlfriend, obviously) face was great though, as she said "did he just do what I think he did?"

Honza: Rick's right, you should talk to Lenka, and you do need time to recharge before you start another serious relationship if has any hope to last.

On the subject of Pirates, it was better than expected. For one, for some reason I thought that Elizabeth would try to end up being with Jack, and the only thing there was a rejected kiss. Multiple Jacks was a definite plus, and I enjoyed the idea of "nine pieces of whatever we happened to have in our pockets at the time." I didn't quite get the way that Will left Elizabeth on the beach, I know the reason obviously, but the way he did it seemed rather odd (I can't remember what exactly felt off, but it was there.) One scene that I loved was the entire getting back to the land of the living idea, with Jack figuring out that rocking the ship was the way to go.

    * Yamaneko laughs at the idea of needing to vote to include Craig.

Shady: Well, it was the ten years old part that threw me. I'd be disturbed if they did. 0_0 Also, are you saying they don't suck anymore? Poor you. :p:D

Rick: What I meant is that things are going absolutely smashing, and I would have felt bad coming in and saying that when things were going bad for others. And that's an excellent phrase(/expression?)

Well, after a much needed break from interwebville I return... a happy, happy and grateful man to be among such esteemed company once again.

I look forward to reading through the large portion of thread that I've missed in my absence, and I really do hope that all is going well with everyone, and in everyway.

I'm going to go and check the 'mill for more 10th goodies, shant be long now before we get another rumor season ball rolling again. I can't wait!

Back in about 3 hours or so my amigos, take care til then!

I might as well start by stealing this bit of text.

Oi, sorry people. I'll admit, I was kinda reading for a while, but the main news in my life mainly pertains to one particular girl, and given the spirits of people in this thread at the time, I wasn't sure saying anything would be too good. Nevertheless, I'm glad to see that everyone is doing alright, and that's great news about your marks 'Vax. Shady, I've lost faith in you. Things were better when girls were the enemy? Nonsense.

St@r: I hope things work out for the best, I was jerked about by a girl called Cammie too. May you find a more happy ending than I did. (Wow, when I tried to write ending there, I wrote enemy; shows how bad things were.)

Also, although I've made it clear that I know about it, HYDROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (I almost did it in ivisitext, then remembered the new rule about it. Frown[wow, I think that rule would earn us all a banning for the subliminal messages thread])
