I originally thought black was the way to go, but I would be unexcited to pull 5/8 of blacks rares.

Green on the other hand also has a very strong promo and I would be happy with literally any of the rares from green. I know I will get one from the seeded pack, might as well make it a good one.

You do realize phytotitan comes back on your next upkeep and enters tapped, right? I think the green one's pretty weak. And, on average, you're getting 1-2 rares for your seeded color. The black promo is better than most of them. I just think black will be consistently solid, if unexciting.

I do realize that. I also realize that in-color with the commons and uncommons it has a decent amount of support. It also just plain wins if the game goes long, and if you pull life's legacy... which is probably the worst rare... that is a mean combo :D.

That's a big 'if' on Life's Legacy. In a very grindy match, Phytotitan has a big advantage, but it just plain dies and keeps dying to the red promo, doesn't generate nearly as much card advantage as the black promo, and a smart player in white will just hold onto Devouring Light. I'm not saying the combos not there, but I certainly hope a lot of players at my prerelease take green hoping to get it.

But you're missing my original point. I like the OTHER green rares enough. I understand that phyto isn't as good as the red or black promos, but the REST of the rares are. That seeded pack is a real thing. I will take my phytotitan and any green rare versus your indulgent tormentor and.... waste not/garruks wake/stockpile/stain

and as for the lifes legacy I mentioned that it was probably the worst green rare to pull. So nobody should be
"hoping" to get that combo =P

I'd probably run the Satyr over the spider - it's not a very good body and it'll keep eating cards from your library as long as it stays on the field.

Right... it eats your library to put dudes in the grave so pharika can turn into a draw engine.... what's the problem? I mean it's a constellation deck but it's kind of like contell-dredge-chantress. Weaver is a BOSS in this deck.

UnderwOrld is a sideboard card against control. It just makes you win against uw. What is the benefit of playing this over junk though? Head over to competitive, I posted my list there yesterday.

Hey! I see you haven't had any takers. It's tough to get started sometimes. Keep trying.

Size: I don't know. Whatever size my dig now is, I'm updating since those blocks both rotated lol.
Picture: black and purple obzedat, ghost council (if it looks bad do whatever with obz, I trust you Smile
    Type: "just some block junk"
Special requests:kinda covered in picture, but could you make a avatar too?

Yeah that's why I've been tweaking it. My mono-red mu seems good against everything but the nuts. Tristan's main helps a lot. If you can go t2,t3 removal then Tristan's and obx thru cannot win. Let me try from memory.

I haven't deck tagged in awhile and I'm on a phone. Sorry of its bad.

I think it's the best deck in the format... By a lot actually. I'll post the deck list tonight when I get home, I'm on my phone ATM. If you would like I can do a tournament report as well. There weren't many games that were very close. I played Rdw, Uw, WBR and boros.

I 4-0'd the daily tonight pretty easily, I'm pressed for Time or i would post the list. Mine is pretty different from royals, but he has moved on to WBR now. Check mine out when you get a chance though. I'll make sure I find time to explain some of the odd choices and sb tomorrow.

Drudge beetle needs to go. If I were to build straight simic I believe I would go aggro control. Then again that would probably involve a white splash too :/

So what, in your opinion, did we gain from GTC?

If you play it in block you need to be able to deal with jund and control. In my mind the best way to do that is with aggro-control. Play experiment one, cloud fin and shamble shark. Selesyna charm/call of the conclave and maybe one fatty with some counters, bounce and utility spells. That's my .02 I'm working on a list I'll post it when I can. (sorry about no card tags, hard to do on my phone.

so... i had the best draft deck in m12 on friday. I don't have the list (cause i give the commons to the new guys at the shop) but i had 16 cards that cost 2 or less mana in W/R and topped out at warstorm surge Slant The surge was probably a mistake but i ran with it anyway.

You should still run Bird of Paradise. It is STRICTLY BETTER than llanowar elf, and here is why. You are using swords. An elf with a sword is a 2/3 that gets chump blocked all day. BoP has flying which means your actually going to get to activate your sword abilities. This isn't budget so that's not an excuse. If you don't have 4 birds, ask around. Any player worth their salt will have a play set or two of them. They are just that good

i don't want to type a one word response or anything... but i seriously wanted to just type wrong.

First of all strictly better, especially in caps, is a slippery slope of you didn't think about your deck/random situations enough.

I like llanowar/arbor more than birds in this deck because they can swing even when they are not equipped. It seems measly but getting in 1-2 damage with them and then they act like a forest is totally reasonable if you are playing on curve. I mean honestly, with a deck like this (big green-ish) the small damages can matter a ton.

Also, the mono-green list that did so well at the SCG ran 3 overwhelming stampede. I have tested it and i can say with certainty that it is quite good in any deck that has omnath/dungrove.
