Scooping in multiplayer is poor form at any time, even if you're dead on the board, because it screws with the pacing of the game for other people, and what you're doing sounds pretty juvenile to me. Multiplayer (outside of sanctioned 2HG or some other tournament) is all about having fun and scooping because your opponent make poor (in your mind) plays is pretty juvenile.
Bump that. I've scooped in multiplayer before just so one of my opponents couldn't have my permanents anymore.
I dont buy packs, but still get frustrated with my 2 or 3 prize packs at FNM.
Nothing is worse than sarcastically declaring, "Man, i really need another psychic surgery" and then actually pulling it. Ugh....
Seriously WotC. Why are there more trash cards than good cards. i understand that they cant all be winners. But there are maybe a handful of cards that are good in a set. and then the rest might as well be used as toilet paper.
I'm glad I dont play at any of you guy's store. Sounds like a real downer.
I was playing a match and this little kid, maybe 11 comes up and looks at my hand then says "He's gonna rape you"
Funniest ☺☺☺☺ ever.
Words actually do have meaning. If they didn't they wouldn't exist. If words didn't have meaning you wouldn't use them. When you use offensive terms it isn't the fault of the people who take issue with your language. It's your fault.
As a matter of fact words do have meaning. But in the context of a magic store, the meaning for Rape is not even close to the real meaning. Same with Gay etc... Too bad nobody actually understands this.
You happen to remember that guy's name so anyone on here that travels can intentionally dreamcrush him if we ever see him? What goes around comes around.
It was probably someone in this thread that is defending the idea that you should get your opponent to scoop.
Then we need to unban Saito. All he was doing was earning a draw against an opponent that had him beat.
Way to compare apples to oranges. Saito got banned because he broke DCI rules. There is nothing in tournament rules that says you have to scoop to your opponent. It boggles the mind that you think these two things are even remotely related.
With the amount of evidence presented, you can't know that. Generally speaking though, draws occur due to someone taking far too much time to play.
Or both players were playing slow. Or the matchup was just a long one. Not all matchups come to a draw because one player maliciously tries to stall out for time.
My problem is not so much with legitmate draws, but when people realize they cannot win and try to force the draw when they know they have lost. You took away an earned win by playing the clock and turns, knowing you had no outs. There is the problem. If you didn't slow play it, but the opponent has the game on the board, it is the same issue, they have earned the win.
How do you know the other play wasn't slow playing earlier (either intuitionally or not).

That's multiplayer for you.
I play land grant. Show my opponent my hand and then he scoops.
Conundrum Sphinx Really?
Lightning Greaves are the only card that excites me at all.
Wut? That makes no sense. If packs were 50-75% good cards than I would buy more packs. Right now it feels more like 8-12% good cards.
You are suggesting that if there are less desirable product than people will buy more. I don't buy that theory.
