I believe the plaintiff dropped the charges. I haven't heard anything else about it.Quote from Black LotusWell that sucks. He had pending felony charges for mail fraud.. what ever happened to that?

Posted in: Market Street CaféJust to be clear, the prices in that third column were as of last november (when I would expect to see post-rotation prices in effect). Most of them have jumped a fair bit since then.
Ahhh, I missed/misread the dates. My bad.

A quick spec on my part, I see Resto doubling in price this time next year, and GoST topping near 25. 6 is too low for Resto.12-14 is more like it. Look at BSA. Upon rotation it could be had for around 5ish. Now it's near 15 IIRC.Quote from rmstephensLooking at last rotation, most of the Modern-playable singles from Innistrad block didn't drop significantly from their lows while in standard:
Prices from July 2012 / July 2013 / Nov 2013
Snapcaster Mage ~$20 ~$24 ~$20
Liliana of the Veil ~$18 ~$42 ~$44
Geist of Saint Traft ~$19 ~$23 ~$17
Restoration Angel ~$11 ~$10 ~$6
(All prices from mtggoldfish.com, based off of tcgplayer mid)
Based on the above info, I wouldn't expect the shocklands, as a whole, to drop in price very much. Shocks that aren't seeing much play in Modern (most notably Blood Crypt and Watery Grave) seem like they would be the most likely to dip (if at all).

Posted in: Market Street CaféQuote from LyleQuote from KingAlanIThe pricing data on magiccards.info shows most of the shocklands at around $7.50 each. As I understand it, they rotate out of Standard when next fall's new block comes out. How much do you'll think they'll drop in price at that point?
I definitely can't afford any now, but I'm planning to get some at some point, and wonder if I should bother waiting until fall.
I think we may have already seen a bottom on these. Everyone knows they are going to go up. There will be speculators all over these as rotation nears. Any standard players looking to jump into Modern will just hang on to them. This will be exacerbated if they announce MM2 around rotation time.
If you are at an active LGS that has lots of standard players I'd pick them up in trades as they rotate.
Otherwise I would suggest in the next couple months watch ebay as people sell them cheaper as rotation nears.
Note I grabbed my set at $6ish a piece so maybe I'm biased and I just want to be right
Quote from TheIceManI doubt they'll drop much, if at all, come rotation. The last set of eternal-playable lands we had in Standard were fetches, and those didn't drop.
I believe we have seen the bottom also. I was fortunate enough to trade for them when they were around 5-6, with Hallowed Fountain being near 7+-
In my area, Fetches dropped from 12-15 to around 7-9. I kick myself in the ass everyday for getting rid of them. I was a noob player back then, and HATED when I cracked a pack and got a land as my rare. I didn't fully understand the value of land/mana 3 years ago, as I didn't understand the "market" for rotated cards. I bought 2 cases of WWK. I had opened at least 8 Jaces, and a foil one, to go along with the full 40 shocks. I think I just puked again.
