My favorite card from my old ghave list isVish Kal, Blood Arbiter.
maims Collossi, swings life totals, sac outlet, vampire goodness, etc. what more could you ask for?
granted i was running a more reanimator style deck but to leave him out of the discussion is not giving this squeaky critter due credit.
It was a real rule but not anymore, the RC changed that last year. So whoever told you about that either doesn't have the internet and no one has told them or they were lying.
while a card is on the stack x is treated as how ever much mana you add into it
so exsanguinate for 12650827346972340897627 has a converted mana cost of 12650827346972340897627
Return the card to the battlefield. The creature gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery.
unearthed creatures never make it to the graveyard to be exiled with void maw
I think it shouldn't have come so much as a shock that ned got the axe, he's been credited as a guest star from the beginning. Though I only just realized that the credits on that particular episode. I thought something strange was going on...
I'd take outPentavus and put in Triskelion
but the first thing you must do is add doubling season, earthcraftsquirrels nest. I've found Vish Kal to be a powerhouse card with any sort of creature looping i.e. Woodfall Primus\ Juniper Order Ranger.
I've been playing this general a lot over this past weekend and have found a couple interesting interactions with some of the cards in my list(which has near mimicked your list at times). I'm probably going to post my list in the biggest ghave deck discussion thread i can find so if this is it i'll brbedit.
If your playing any developed EDH meta then there should be more wraths then rhys can deal with, the Rhys deck around my meta always played t1 rhys then moved on to doing other things when he died.
I think people are undervaluing Ruhan, running r/u gives you many options for multiple attack steps Relentless Assault style, or Time Warp for Chaos type decks. I can see it being a lot of fun for a certain subset of EDH Players.
I assume in a tournament setting that everyone who sits down at the table is playing to win. Giving up any chance, however slight, isn't the correct way to go about winning anything.
I personally could care less about what someone thinks about me or what I do to win the game so long as it doesn't interfere with the rules set down by the game in question, whether its MTG or any other competition I've entered
What I dislike about it being in the core, is that the triggered ability is complex, so many new players will be confused by it.
Other than that, it's a very flavorful and powerful limited card, so I'm not unhappy about it, I just dread the repetitive 'how does it work again?' questions.
I don't know I think this is exactly what sort of abilities Wizards wants to see on cards. An attacking fireball seems like the perfect card to introduce new players to the game and is in tune with the direction that they are pushing creatures
