i have had a lot of input from a lot of different people on which direction i should take it so ill just post the core of it right now and we'll see what you guys think
honestly i only play t2 or extended haha so ima let you make the call but ill be able to play against you since t2 and extended are legal decks to play in whatever format you choose.
go to card kingdom and search for all creatures in type 2 standard. when you find a few you like post them here and we can help you build a decklist.
for example i found a creature i like: mortis dogs
and proceeded to throw cards complementing it into a deck.
i started with black/red to use fling with the dogs but later switched to black/blue
i now have a unique deck which is competitive against casual decks and can hold its own against top tier decks for a bit(until it crashes and burns against op[in this case meaning overpowered and overpriced haha] decks.
once we get you a good base deck you can test it on cockatrice and ask for some deck help on there.
just keep changing cards around till you think your decks done.
3 cards are blue
1 is blue phy mana and a counterspell which should be exclusively blue any way.
and the other is SFM which can murder both t2 and extended alone.
all it really did was make blue not overpowered and take out a broken card.
I think pyro is a great build right now for extended!
proliferate and flashback are in right now. that's amazing synergy right there!
did you ever find a format you like?
heres some reasons why im considering getting into this with my playgroup:
-Diverse decks
-Fairly cheap
-Dont have to acquire a playset to play with a card.
-nice cardpool size for singleton
-allows players to utilize their favorite underplayed cards.
sorry for not posting this in the variant forum. I thought you guys might have the best input

modern mtg is a new unofficial format which includes all sets from mirroden until now and all core set from eight until now
i will be taking the name -noble- from the previous variant me and hinotama came up with
we have been experimenting with a new mid price range mtg for the past few months and this is proving to be the best format.
I will be editing this post in the near future with more info and
