All I know is that Paypal charges me 4% & that is the fee schedule they sent me.

It's just better to be sure before saying things like "Asking more than that is generally going to get you free money", because that implies everyone asking for 4% is asking for free money. Not a huge deal, just wanted to give the correct amount.

The Paypal fee should not be more than 3%. Asking more than that is generally going to get you free money.

It's 4% + $0.30 per transaction, more if it's from an international buyer. I'm not sure where you got the 3% thing.

A quick google search on whether ITT guarantees job placement brings up an entry from Rip-off Report.com (highly entertaining site) written by a former ITT recruiter about the lengths they go to get students on board, & the quality of their 'education'. He/she sounded amenable to being contacted, & others, ranging from a former student to former instructor posted rebuttals, so these might be decent people to speak to in compiling anecdotal evidence. I don't know if a former employee would be willing to testify against ITT, but it's worth a shot. At the very least, you'll have someone new to commisserate with Smile

    http://www.ripoffreport.com/adult-career-continuing-education/itt-technical-instit/itt-technical-institute-ripoff-c754j.htm

Edit: Apparently in 2004 Federal & local authorities were investigating ITT at campuses all over the country & even conducted a search at the Indianapolis & Portland OR campuses, serving grand jury subpoenas of records concerning student placement, retention, graduation, attendance, recruitment, grades and graduates' salaries. It might be worth checking into the outcome of those searches/investigations.

Well it sounds like the only real hurdle is a search function that lets you search for hybrid cards only (after doing the above mentioned 36 searches, of course), and specifically for how many colors are in the hybrid card (and set power level accordingly for each). All Magic Cards does not have that ability that I can see, but another site may. If there is no such thing, I don't believe there is a good way to figure this out besides an exhaustive tally.

Well, it's never going to look the same I don't think, but you may be able to make it sleeve-legal by flattening it out under a huge coffee table book or something else heavy. Leave it under there for a good while (like a week!), & see if it sits flat. That's all I know to do.

edit: lol at the link below.

I have a family friend who's a cop and lives a few houses down. I'm going to the store tomorrow, if he doesn't give them back, I'll tell the cop, and he should help me out, being a family friend and all.

That's a great option. Go for it Smile & be sure to let us know how it turns out! I don't like bullies (& I think that's exactly what this guy is... he probably was stuffed in a locker once or twice in high school & never got over it Rolleyes ).

I think you're getting confused at what should theoretically happen, as opposed to what happens in reality.

In theory, yes, cops would rock up and demand that the property be returned to the kid. but it's not like that here in Oz. about 5 yrs ago a dude ran a red light and rammed my car and left the crime scene. I jotted down that car's registration number and went to the police. After accurately leaving a detailed report about the car make and model, colour and rego plate, the cops still couldnt catch the guy. They actually found the cars owner but the owner said that he sold the car to another person and didnt have any contact with this person. That's how incompetent Australian police are.

... What am I getting confused about? What I said was:

Unfortunately, the OP does not have the might of a corporation behind him, and may just have to get the police involved to make a difference. It really depends on the police officer, however (unfortunately), it's probably just as likely that he will laugh at the situation as do something about it, but it's that way when you call the police for a lot of things.

I didn't say he's going to call the cops & they will show up & cuff the guy, or even give a crap. All I said was that he doesn't necessarily have the recourse that a business would when it comes to stolen property.

I worked at a gas station. You know what happened if the same guy stole a bag of chips everyday, and we called the cops? Nothing. Just because theft is theft despite the dollar amount, doesn't mean that cops should spend time dealing with it. They wouldn't even do anything about gas theft under 20 dollars, it isn't worth the paperwork or the time.

I disagree that the cops would do nothing if the same person came into a gas station & stole every day. No matter what he stole. That person's a menace to the store, & there's no way the cops don't do something if asked. Also, that gas station/store (unlike our OP) would have decent recourse even without getting police involved. They can detain him, get the product back (and obviously, if the person refuses to give it back, THEN the cops are called), and if you've stolen something from a retail store, they have the right to issue a "civil demand" notice, collecting damages from the shoplifter, regardless of the value of the item stolen (and this is above and beyond getting the actual stolen stuff back). This can range from $50 to hundreds of dollars, even for something of relatively small value, and if not paid, they can take you to court. $50 for a $1 product is not such a bad return on investment. Unfortunately, the OP does not have the might of a corporation behind him, and may just have to get the police involved to make a difference. It really depends on the police officer, however (unfortunately), it's probably just as likely that he will laugh at the situation as do something about it, but it's that way when you call the police for a lot of things.

Also, the authorities will certainly go after someone for stolen gas. Despite the fact that it'd be extremely hard to steal gas these days (seeing as though you have to prepay or use a credit card at most gas stations), if you do get away with it, there will be repercussions (usually including paying a fine & often losing your license) as long as they have your license plate # on surveillance .

It sounds like maybe a combo of field of souls and flurry of wings. The former for the getting a 1/1/ white flyer when a creature is put into a graveyard, and the latter for getting 1/1 bird tokens for attacking.

Theft is theft. People have been sent to jail for stealing 30-cent candy bars. Also, "assault" in the legal code does not require physical contact. That would be battery.

Try explaining that distinction to a police officer, & you won't get very far. I know, I've tried!

I really enjoyed this article about psychology as it relates to Magic, specifically which play decisions are "automatic" and which ones have to be thought out, and whether this directly correlates to skill level. It might be a good article to evaluate for your class. At the very least, it's an interesting read!

Faeries! This coming from a girl Smile I don't care about collecting any money cards, but I have a kind of extensive "pretty" collection (and also am building a foil collection & a Rebecca Guay collection- the ultimate in pretty! Ooh you could build her a Rebecca Guay deck :-P ). The first cards that ever caught my eye when I started playing were faeries.
    Quote from LifesWeb »

oh, i love playing Faeries! the art is almost always beautiful! and Rebecca Guay is one of my absolute favorite artists, along with Terese Nielsen.

Yay! Rebecca Guay is most definitely my favorite. I really like Terese Nielsen, too, but only sometimes (gaea's skyfolk, moon sprite, lifelink, & Lull being my super-favorites of hers :p oh & hidden retreat (is Squee not the cutest most lovable adorable little dude?), diplomatic immunity & ivy dancer are super awesome as well. Some of her cards don't really jump out at me, though, the way pretty much all Rebecca Guay cards do.

The other artists I really like are Quinton Hoover, Richard Thomas & Richard Kane-Ferguson. I'm slowly building up little mini-collections for them, too Smile
