I wish I could use Dragon Shields, but after the last set of 3 colors I got, I refuse to get them. They were all majorly curved, had black bits all over them and just feel horrible. I'm amazed that a company as big as them can have such inconsistent products.
I'm a bit confused as to why ramp is needed in a token deck. None of our spells really cost that much, so it just seems like we would be wasting mana early that we could be using for anthems and tokens. Are the Acidic slimes for deathtouch or for land destruction? If it's for enchantments or artifacts, iti seems way too expensive for us to want. Garruk produces deathtouch for a cheaper cost and he's removal on top of that.
I'm assuming that all the ramp is for Increasing Devotion Flashback and Elesh Norn? If it's working for you, that's great. It just seems that ramp tokens would be a little too slow, especially since most of your token generators are all ground units. Most of my wins come from chumping with grounds until my Air units can take off. Either that or I just shrine with 10 and kill.
I'm interested to hear how this deck is doing. Please update us
With quite a few low mana cost creatures, I'm not sure I agree with a MD Timely reinforcement. We really shouldn't ever be behind with creatures and if you find yourself in need of life gain or fuel after a board wipe, Elspeth should be able to get the job done.
I used to run G/W tokens, but decided to try G/W/b and so far it's been amazing. Just having black for Lingering souls and Vault of the Archangel alone has been outstanding.
Snap, Blade Splicer, Imaging something early. It was just an idea I thought should be tossed out. Low numbers of early game creatures is a problem.
Yeah, I get what you're saying. A small number of creatures to equip early does seem to be a problem. I would see a need for feast and famine more than war and peace though. Running some Timely Reinforcements will help with your life until you can stabilize and get your fatties out. The extra mana from feast and famine would be great for being able to flashback more alchemies and think twices. Hmm...you got me thinking now.
I'm assuming you're mainly going to equip it to the snapcasters? I don't know, 5 mana seems like a lot to eat up when it could be better used to thin out your library to your win conditions.
Gut Shot
Fume Spitter
Arc Trail
He just won't stay alive long.

Hahaha, I came into this thread to post the same thing. It's so damn cruel. I have two playsets and counting.
