These cards tend to be less effective in battle cruise because people are often looking to tap out every turn for the biggest thing they can play anyway. Having your big splashy thing be planeswalkers just isn't going to be good enough.
And frankly, your responses have been pretty rude. Ask people politely doesn't mean you get to be impolite when you don't like the answer.

Back on topic... again because phone and gashnaw can restrain themselves: I completely forgot about orims chant. I think scepter chant would be cool but I'm not sure if it is too inconsistent.
I wonderevi if there is a way to easily recur decree of silence? EVEN if it costs a bunch of mana we can tap out on our turn and it will eat most of the rest of the table's action
I am curious why no one seems to be discussing rule of law/arcane laboratory with complimentary effects like decree of Silence for this deck?
If we are playing a bunch of good planeswalkers, why in the world wouldn't we take steps to limit opponents this way. A lot of people want to play her in stax, but this is very counter intuitive due to her prohibitive casting cost. Peoole need to release the idea of a dedicated stax deck with atraxa in my opinion and start looking at more synergistic approaches.
Good point but I'm still thinking in abstract terms at this point. My question and what I'm looking for input on is if we stick a rule of law or arcane lab and a super efficient beater like atraxa bane slayer etc, is it possible to abuse things like hesitation, standstill, etc against 3 rather than 1 person
We must not be looking at the same card. Atraxa is the ultimate tempo creature. 4 mana 4/4 with a pile of stats and tacked on planeswalkers synergy? No one is going to want to time walk the rest of the table, but she demands an answer. You know what else is good under 1 spell per turn effects? PLaneswalkers. So yeah, I'm not sure we saw the same magic card gashnaw

You arent doing anything because you are playing tsieze or inquisition and your stupid codex shredders. If duress effects were all you needed in legacy to be competitive in the first, usually also last, three turns of the game ANT would be the best deck in the format because it plays 7-8 AND instead of your wimpy soft lock that my dredge deck ignores while i hatebound trigger you to death they actually end the game a turn earlier... also what happens when it hit you with 3 therapies in turns 1 and two? Other decks have actual good draws in legacy, whereas yours is topdecking lanterns and shredders and <bull*****>

ah didn't even realize he was the one who posted up there, yea that was just a response to what seemed like a couple posters were being a little dismissive and wanted to throw it in as some fuel to help spark some serious consideration because it seems like a phantastic card to fight any control deck with
definitely viable as a 1 of in the board depending on the meta, i personally have never found a use for it but i searched decklists for it and it seems there is a player on mtgo that runs this in his sideboard and 4-0s like every week so he must know something we dont... he also runs a splash of red too so apparently thats good also?
Elesh norn no contest, he makes your combat math do retarded things especially vs dungrove and aggro decks, and against he comes down and kills them much like a resolved overrun
Working on this tried to incorporate some leaks which I believe will be helpful in combatting permission heavy control decks and even potentially hexproof guys too, I have been boarding into leaks totry them in control mus and so far every time I cast one to force a pod or something through or stop a sun Titan I have crushed them so I'm playing them main now and they seem good so far, surprise factor a way to stop hexproof guys and a way to slow the faster aggro decks? I'll take three also like the dissipate and memory's journey out of the side against solar flare
As far as dungrove I have been able to handle them either with ld after combat or deathtouch guys
how do you plan to even begin to handle solar flar decks lol... you pretty much scoop to fatty+unburial rights... plus anything running lilliana is going to shred your hand so you pretty much scoop to that too... so you automatically have 3 common almost auto losses(junk-pod/anything with lilliana/solar flare) in exchange for a good matchup against a tier 2 human aggro(WTF is this?) and tempered steel
i mean i guess it comes down to how competitive you actually want to be but i can guarantee you arent gonna be hangin with the "big boys" on this one

So does anyone have some actual ideas for synergies on a standstill, rule of law, planeswalker style of build?
Guys I'm looking for input on the viability of a heavy tempo control version utilizing the cards listed above
Hesitation
Lunar force
Root maze
Mana Web
Does anyone else think astaxa's strategy should look more like this than traditional smokestack, mld, and friends?

Seriously considering it... also considering swapping bitter ordeal for altar of the brood
Any ideas?
