We're starting several other projects that will be more of interest to people (and will also take up most of our free time to make.)
So for now they're still on the backburner. :/
Lemme run down groups, and the difference:
Forum permissions (ability to edit posts, see mod lounge, etc) is all based upon groups. We have a special group that if you're put in, you become a moderator. Another for global moderators, etc. Its what makes them have the power they do. However, these are private groups that only admins can see, change, add to, remove from, etc.
Public groups, however, are those that we give small permissions to and allow the users themselves to join at their own will (perhaps have 1 normal user able to accept/deny their attempting to join) etc. Its small groups that we let the people handle. As a rough example, if we were to give deck building clans their own subforums, we could give them their own public group and allow them to add or remove who they wanted. It would save us alot of work adding and removing people, as well as having them try to catch us while we're on or juggle PMs. Its fairly easy, so we could just allow one nonmod guy to do it if he wants.
hmm.. guess that was too easy
your go!
