I didn't like the sudden transition from 3rd person to 2nd person. It was too jarring and could have been handled better.
It's actually from third ("Jace", "he", "him") to first ("I"). Second person would have been "you".
I understand *why* the author chose first person. They wanted to make you feel the madness of Markov Manor, let you see how it was affecting Jace. But I agree with you that we didn't *need* the first person viewpoint. Personally I've always found first person to be a crutch less talented writers use to cover their poor narrative structure, and he could have shown just as much madness and confusion remaining in third.
"Ormen", as in the first part of the demon Ormendalh, is Swedish for "The Snake". The cryptoliths? Look like snakes, especially in the image from Tamiyo's journal liked above.
Food for thought.
(They also echo the heron symbolism throughout Avacyn's church, and particularly they evoke heron on the moon, which I think is what creative's going for, but I thought the snake connection was neat.)
Trust me, Gideon was that good--he's the only walker I run, though I've only got him at level 30 so far. His abilities are bonkers and he has access to one of the best disablers (Suppression Bonds). Being able lock down your opponent while consistently popping Call to arms (his second ability, permanent pump of all your creatures) and Champion (gives a creature a massive permanent pump and Berserk, higher levels add more keyword abilities) was brutal. They increased the cost of all three of his abilities significantly, so I'll have to see whether it's enough to make me switch.
This is not the place for fan fiction. Storyline is for discussion of canon Magic lore only. If you wish to write your own version of a Magic story, that's what the Personal Writing subforum is for.
Yeah, rehosting someone else's content without permission is at best plagarism.
This is just a temporary outage anyway. You'll notice it's not just old lore content that's 404-ing right now; the Reserve List explanation is missing, event coverage is missing, etc. They're transitioning to a new website format and haven't gotten all the URLs redirected yet. Nothing to freak out over.
Most of their archived content from the old version of the website is offline while they try to get the redirects set up on the new site. You get the same thing trying to go to old Uncharted Realms articles etc.
Trick has already stated on his twitter that they're aware of the problem and are fixing the redirects now. In the meantime, we have a wiki that summarizes most of that information. We don't need a place to host all of the files directly from Wizards. That's a copyright violation.

I'd love to have seen Kaya with a card, most likely in .
Tocasia, also, as either straight or . Mechanically I think Tocasia would be interesting, but mostly because of how much of Urza's pre-spark character was shaped by her influence and training. I'd argue that Urza's white comes from growing up under her tutelage. Urza was always closer to her, where Mishra was closer to the desert people (and I think that's where a lot of his red comes from).

As Avacyn's Collar deforms (giving us our set symbol) the two ends of the collar are becoming cryptoliths.

We have not confirmed these leaks are real, so keep that in mind before you get too excited and start spinning theories.
