Day[9] and Felicia Day are great hosts of whatever they do. On top of that, more publicity for magic is better. I don't see why people are flipping out about this since they're hosting this magic show on their geekandsundry Youtube channel. If you don't like it then don't watch. Non-pro magic players have been making Youtube shows and podcasts about magic forever and noone used to give a damn. I don't know why elitist magic players think that anyone whose not a platinum pro can't make anything related to magic. The way they talk you'd think they owned the brand or something.
I think it's being misunderstood what I mean. Is it assumed he is forcing my force not the creature I initially cast if he does not specify his target?
Player A casts a 2 cmc creature. Player B plays force of will targeting it. If Player A force of will's back, and just says "force it", is the target of the second force of will assumed to be the first force of will since that is the top card of the stack? I remember that the tournament shortcuts said something about that.
I've had trouble against Spiral Tide lately. It seems to be almost unwinnable. I'm thinking about adding Chalice of the Void in the sideboard for the Spiral Matchup and the storm matchup. Setting a chalice at x=1 wrecks them. The problem is this hurts me a bit as well, but Chalice will be a turn 2 drop in this deck. So game two I would side out 2 cursecatchers for Chalices. Thoughts?
When I looked at a lot of the decklists from the top 8's of recent PTQ's none ran the peppersmokes, but they also didn't have a lot of elves. Do you think the meta has shifted towards elves, RDW and bant a lot?
That's weird. The arcana says that the original toolkit was only released in English, but I remember seeing Japanese versions of it awhile back. What gives? 0_o
I've read that merfolk has a favorable dreadstill matchup and I'm kind of curious how so. If you're a mono blue version, sure you can counter a dreadnought on the way down, but if it sticks, then what? You have no spot removal short of echoing truth.
How are you having problems with that matchup? After board you have spell pierce and thoughtseize(if you don't play it maindeck) and then mainboard your full of good stuff....
I run 3 Inquisitons main, and have flashfreeze in my sideboard. The problem with the matchup is that he'll use copied fallouts after game two and game one i really have no way to deal with the ascensions except counter them on the way down, which is quite hard to do usually.
I'm having some trouble with Pyromancer's Ascension decks in my meta. While the obvious answer is Leyline of the Void, it seems narrow in any matchup besides Ascension. Are there any other less narrow cards that would be good in the sideboard for this matchup? I could see using leyline if Vengevine got popular, but so far it hasn't.
So say I suspend a Time stretch and a Wild Richochet with Jhoira of the Ghitu. When they resolve, if I stack the Ricochet on top of the Stretch will I essentially be able to get 4 turns? And what about if it was a spell that did not target like temporal manipulation? I'm pretty sure this works, but wasn't sure if it could be done as they're both put on the stack together.
I feel like I have too much to bring in and can't cut anything? Advice?
How would you suggest I go about making this? And what kind of wincon's could I possibly have?
Thanks
Race a 12/12 trampler? I know we get lord buffs, but that still pretty hard.
