I wouldn't pick it higher than say 6-7th unless the pack was just completely devoid of playables. The format is too hostile to dropping all your mana into firebreathing a guy and not developing your board in my opinion.
They would use the wording "As you cast [...], do [...]" to be able to target as a spell, otherwise this one is a triggered ability by entering the battlefield after the creature spell resolved.
That is also an ability and not a spell. Creature spells never have targets. Heroic will only ever trigger on Auras and instants/sorceries with targets(that you cast).
Also, did anyone else notice that these have basic land types as well?

On topic, I'm rather irritated that I may have to use Rakdos Guildgate for standard Rakdos aggro as the deck doesnt function nearly as well without at least 10 black sources maindeck and prefers to cast Ash Zealot on curve. Maybe I should cut Zealot?

so when marking damage on a creature is that lower the creatures toughest or just mean that it has that amount of damage on it? how is that any different than Instructables creatures. I know lethal won't kill it but it still does damage to it right?
Marking damage is simply the act of keeping track of how much damage a creature has on it (and then the creature is destroyed when the damage marked matches or exceeds the toughness of the creature). It does not reduce toughness.
Indestructible creatures can take damage, yes, but it does very little.
Then, when your creature hits, cast the copy of Strings, make token with YP, target your Crusader with Hidden Strings, make token with Crusader, then exile the copy to make Nivmagus bigger.
Powerful, but Nivmagus is probably beginning to wander towards Christmasland. Nonetheless, I like where this is going.
Well, that's disappointing. I don't really like any of the Intro pack rares from an EDH standpoint, so I don't really get anything of note from going to the prerelease other than getting to play the cards early, which is still nice.
You are out of luck. LED's ability can only be activated as an instantso the mana cannot be used to cast spells that are in your hand at the time you crack it.

Typically it is used in conjunction with Infernal Tutor, cracking LED with tutor on the stack to both enable hellbent and give you mana to cast what you plan to search up. This works with most tutors and draw spells, however you cannot use the mana generated by LED to cast said tutor/draw spell. In addition, you should retain priority and crack LED when casting said tutor or draw spell because if you give your opponent a chance to respond and they choose not to, the spell will begin to resolve.
There is no excuse for missing a Chandra's phoenix trigger.
