I apologize, but that explanation made me a tad bit confused. The short answer is yes - I get that part. I think it would help if you use layman's terms - I'm still pretty new to the official MtG. From what it sounds like to me, it counts unless it was killed in the battlefield.
EDIT: I think I figured it out. My cards/definitions are pretty old, and I wasn't unaware that the "Battlefield" and "in play" were the same. I was trying to draw a differentiation between the two.
Thanks again = ]
The card I'm thinking of costs (X)(1)(Swamp). The card does X damage to target player. As a substitute for paying mana, X can be payed for by discarding a card from your hand. X would be the converted mana cost for these instances.
I could have sworn I saw this card earlier when I was perusing my online MtG store of choice. Was I daydreaming?
It's lacking a lot of blue and black cards, so it probably wouldn't make a good all-colour deck, but that's primarily for the shrines and Bringer of the Green Dawn.
Anyways, is this deck legal for... Anything?
I noticed a lot of rares, and I dunno if that is a no-no.
Any suggestions, specifically cards to swap out? Maybe Black/Blue cards?
I remember Elementary School magic. That rocked. I remember being jealous of a friend who build an elf deck. Of course, as of now, I don't really like the kid anymore, but the memory's still stand. I'm still friends with the other kid.
Meh. My local shop doesn't really cater to MtG players. He's got the standard theme decks, tournament decks, and the 15 card packs. That's about it, unfortunately. There is one guy who works there who plays and was pretty cool when I asked for a control deck, but I don't know what hours he works.
Okay, so I play casual with friends, and I'm interested in making a agro[ish]-control deck.
I've two thoughts. My first, is to make a control deck with a lot of instants which primarily have instants which give a lot of + /+ counters until end of turn. Here's the list so far.
The other deck is built based off of the 5 shrines, and has a lot of cards which has a lot of "During your turn, put a _____ token into play". It'd probably be pretty fun, swamping my friends and all. I'd probably add the enchantments that let my cards come into play with haste. I have a couple of the liege cards already.
Of course, the problem is price, as tradition. I'd prefer not to go over $30, but I realize this isn't likely when it'd be based off of a lot of rares and uncommons.
Anyways, any thoughts?
Cheapest prices?
Ebay seems to be the cheapest, but I'd have to pay individual shipping for each card, which is suckage. Right now I'm using MtGfanatic.com/. Is there anywhere cheaper?
Thanks for the quick help... again. = )

I was thinking 5-6 of each land, probably less swamps/islands and more forests.

Anyways, whenever a creature comes into play, creatures untap.
Anyone know if it?
Also; does anyone know of a monster card that I can use to untap a creature?
