Sadly, though the more and more i see of this set makes me want it so much worse, I also have a feeling that the prices of cards in this set are going to be fairly high. Just looking down our current incomplete spoiler:
Jace, the Mind Sculptor
Abyssal Persecutor
Kalastria Highborn
Man-Land Cycle
And even some honorable mentions/possible money cards like:
Lodestone Golem
Stone Idol Trap
Dragonmaster Outcast
The future of or wallets looks quite grim.
I think its a "Deal with The Devil"-ish situation. Koh stole Amon's face and told him that he could only have it back if he removed the power of the Avatar (since he has hated the Avatar's due to a particual one of the preivous ones).
Might be a bit off but you never know. Very interesting show so far.
Duel Masters failed because the Anime in the US was actually so bad that it had a incredibly negative impact on the view of the game, not to mention all it is for the most part is a watered down MTG with a cpl extra rules.
Vanguard is very new mechanically, hence why it gains attention so easily.
The anime/manga industry has not changed all that much, we just wont watch trashy versions of shows anymore. Most people do enjoy a good English dub, but those are few and far between. But it makes a very positive impact when their is one. They could also just promote the Japanese version with subs like Naruto and other shows have.
Its not Awakening of Twin Blades, its Breaker of Limits, and yes we are. From set 6 and beyond, sets are getting simultaneous releases in English and Japanese, just like magic. They will still keep printing older sets in English at the same rate at the same time tho.
Basically they are rushing old sets while simultaneously printing new sets so in a short while we will be caught up to Japan and can have a global meta, just like Magic.
So you will get Demonic Lord Invasion on the same planned release date as before, but before that they will print Breaker of Limits.
Crunchyroll has all episodes. If you don't pay to be a member you have to wait a week for newest episode but if you are a member you get new episodes same day as japan, high quality.
I'm not a huge fan of Granblue, I am an OTT player.

Also updated the first post with another link.
Everyone has the right to their own opinion, but I personally disagree with the majority of your points. The decisions are not always very clear, and a lot of times you have to decide between conserving resources and losing card advantage to guarantee a block/going all in to win or conserving cards in hand to try and wait another turn.
While the "Large Numbers" pet peeve is true, its not a big deal. The math is no different really, you just remove the zeros and its the same small numbers as we are used to. The point of them is to express how powerful something is. If DBZ said "His Power Level is over 9" we would not have been very impressed lol. Its all part of wooing players (specifically kids).
As for the "non resetting board state", I'm not really 100% sure what you mean, so If you could please elaborate.
The triggers are just an additional thing to plan around, + it adds a bit of surprise and luck. Standard Top Decking doesn't really matter as much in this game, as every card is a potential attacker that can seal the deal with the last damage, and you actually draw 2 cards per turn minimum.
The main points are learning how to evaluate the situations properly, know when to take damage, know when to block, how to conserve resources, and knowing the likelihood of triggers/debating to block anticipating one/knowing when to use a "Null Guard". And their is also Deck Construction which is totally separate from game-play skills.
Also the competitive scene isn't 100% established yet because the game is fairly new. Its fairly big in japan tho and it is growing fast here (at least in my area.). And we have pulled a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh players already because their meta is CRAP right now, and the new ban list looks bad. Lots of people are unhappy with it, so its the right time. Plus the prices are fairly cheep currently.
I still feel positive about the outlook of the game.
The basic rules are simple, once playing a game or two with the rule sheet as reference you should be good. Also it helps that unlike yugioh and similar to magic, effect types ae clearly labled (even more so than magic) and costs are well defined.
Just because.the basic rules are easy tho, doesnt mean the game itself is super easy. The thought processes and decision making, combined with the fast pace, makes the game very enjoyable. Also the different clans/tribes have (so far) been fairly balanced. Basicly each set wil give primary focus to 4 or 5 tribes, while most of the remaining tribes get atleast 4 new cards (one of each grade).
We'll getting Weiβ Schwarz localized would probably require getting the "ok" from each liscense, plus it is far older then Cardfight!! Vanguard, and took longer to hit that fanbase. They would also have alot of sets to print to catchup.
Cardfight!! Vanguard is a lot newer, already has a large fanbase (here and in japan), doesn't require as much paperwork to localize, and has an anime to promote it, which I bet will get released in the US and will be announced at "AnimeCentral".

Booster Set One just came out English a few months ago, and Booster Set Two will be out March. They are producing English sets fairly fast to catch us up to the Japanese sets, which are currently on Booster Set Five.
Hopefully I'm not the only one on here who knows of this game! It is a blast to play, and I'm sure in a few months it will gain a foothold in the states, especially if the Anime is brought over here.
I would like for you to check those numbers, because it was no where near that high. The highest number of red hate was in the UW Puresteel deck, and that was 8 if I am correct. Also tempered steel did so well because not enough people had enough hate, which will cause people to change sideboards accordingly. With no rdw in top 16 pepple will likely lighten the hate for it to shore up matchups with decks that did top.
Lastly, since we saw no top 16 rdw, we have no idea what the red lists looled like. With so many options in red, and no defined meta to optimize against, the red lists could have just been lackluster.
I would not count red out after a single large scale tournament ... that is far too early. People said twin and valakut would be the format, and look how that turned out. You know what they say about assumptions...
Stormblood Berserker: one time activation that only requires you to deal damage to your opponent, and has a unique form of evasion. He is more relyable to hit your opponent through troublesome blockers, and his buff is perminant. Also does not put you into situations where you will want to overextend. Also much harder to chump block.
Kiln Fiend: can be very explosive, but can also be a dud. Required constant atention, has no evasion of any sort, and puts you into a situation where he will only be good if you over extend. Can be chump blocked or removed after large investment of cards to pump.
Stormblood has my vote. I think he is even good in a classic rdw, but so is emberhauler and they both occupy the same slot idealy. I would still test the berserker as he is great vs obliterator, thrun, spellskite and valaluts walls/baloth. If you keep them down to one creature he is unblockable, and if you swing with multiple creatures into a low number of of blockers they have to decide between the horde or the berserker. He is also great with a turn 3 teetering peaks.
I think bloodgift is fine, a 4/4 body is not small at all. He is also superb with a lash, and flame slash sees no play. With spellskite, obliterator, blood gift and grave titam, you have a good amount of must deal with threats and a card who protects them. Combine that with early hand disruption and removsl, you have a fine deck.
For people who say having a high curve without mana excel is impossible, you are confusing tempo with control. You should try things out before discrediting them. As I said I have had good success with my current mbc in testing and will hopefuly have the same results in the comming post ban fnms and ptqs.
So apparently grave titan has the relentless rats ability? You can only run 4, not to mention he is a six drop. I am by no means saying he is bad, but you do have to run some other creatures. Also they curve fairly nice together. I'm so tired of people saying no other creatures are worth runing vs the titans. Apparantly we know Chapin's next song. Titans, better then all.
