Yeah definitely don't go off the Jap foil price, even at auction. Russian versions are nowhere high up on the pimp list. In fact, you may have a harder time getting an Eng price for it.

I actually just sold an Eng foil, for $10. I'd shoot for $10 on this, but would take $6-$8 as well probably.

I hope you are aware that Russian is just below Japanese in terms of price...

Okay I have a problem to solve for all you savvy traders out there:

Pile A: 3300$ cash or 3700 in trade

    FOR

Pile B: Full playset of revised duallands, full playset of Ravnica Shocklands, 2x Tolarian Academy, 1x The Abyss.

the duals are all in NM or better condition, as in very little flaws.

which pile gets the better deal and why? thanks

I'd prefer pile A, averaging out duals at say 70 per gives 2800 for the duals. The shocklands, academy and abyss don't make 500 bucks.

Put them in about 8 or 9 penny sleeves and then in a deck box. When shipping bulk and I don't have those hard plastic locking case things I just cram 6, 7, 8 or whatever cards into a penny sleeve and throw them in a 60ct+ deck box. Premium deck boxes (Slivers/F&L) are larger. As well as the Tournament boxes (75ct).

Otherwise, sleeve them up and put 3-5 in between toploaders. Just make a massive sandwich.

Both have worked great for me sending out and receiving.

    Good luck.

I wanna be able to ship for under 5 bucks so without any boxes or etc I was thinking along the same lines of putting several at a time in penny sleeves.

A bubble mailer should suffice, really. 50 cards isn't even enough to fill a tournament pack (yes, I know they're extinct), and those things fit well enough inside. Plus, it'll minimize shipping costs because you can send it by First Class Parcel and still get Delivery Confirmation (I'd say in the range of $3-$3.50 altogether counting the mailer cost).

How would I protect the cards inside the bubble mailer?

Yes it is completely legal, and no gambling laws do not apply whatsoever. Also, like most other people, I have never heard of a store that gives out prizes and hosts tournaments without charging entrance.

Get a job that pays more and ebay them for 30. I used to not want to fork out 130$ for Tarmos but once I did I was very pleased. Its better just to buy all the cards when they are first released. I got Baneslayers for 6 a piece, Knight of the Relequery for 3 a piece and Vampire Nocturnus for 2.5 a piece. Now I have all the best cards in standard for the cost of one BSA just by investing early.

Baneslayer was never 6, and buying knight of reliquary before landfall was just a guess on your part.

I started playing around onslaught so I can't talk about anything prior, but since then Ravnica has definetly been the most fun set to play.

Umm... No. It got 8th place in one tournament. That is not "proven".

Ill agree that proven was probably too strong a word, but its 8th place at a 5k and not your local Fnm. It played competitive legacy decks throughout the day and was good enough to win a majority of its match ups.
