Anyway, i don't think a 5 color commander can be competitive, but if you are willing to have fun just go for it.

Apparently you haven't heard of 5color Hermit Druid or Ad Naus.

Anyways, onto the topic at hand, when I had a sliver deck built I ran the Overlord as the commander. The ability to tutor out whatever you need at any given moment is very strong, since there are maaaaany silverbullet type slivers out there.

I would runthe Basilisk Collar also. I think the spike could draw more attention to yourself and make you more of a target. But i've never run the spike before.

I really, really hate this argument. Especially when we're talking about a card in an aggressive deck. Guess what, collar is going to make your Marath a target as well! I'd run the spike honestly, even if it was along the collar, because you can use Marath to shoot their blockers then swing in for a huge amount of damage. Honestly, spike is good and should definitely be run more.

Honestly...I haven't added him to a lot of my decks. I haven't seen him much online either. Since he was released...I think I've seen him twice. So he hasn't really shaken up the cockatrice meta just yet in my experience. I'm glad to, cuz most of my stronger decks he would probably be very annoying against.

Early on, you attack if you have nothing else to do and no risk from not attacking, but why a vanilla 1/1? Dude, at least get Glistener Elf or something.

Who runs Glistener Elf? The fact is there are a ton of etb utility dorks that become vanillas after they do their job. So yeah, those guys should be attacking a lot more than they do.

It doesn't matter at all. Like AT ALL. If you hit me with a Wood Elf earlier how does that effect me? If my goal is to drop you to 0 or keep myself from hitting 0, that Wood Elf you tagged me with 40 minutes ago has nothing to do with the current game.

Unfortunately, in my experience, most players don't understand that. I'm right with you, Gal, and I absolutely hate improper threat assessment. And yet, try as I might, the guy that I tell everyone is about to win still gets it, while I usually end up as everyone's punching bag.

Um..I don't think you read your cards well enough. You have two instances in this thread that say cards do something that they don't.
First is Bonfire of the Damned in your excluded x spells section. There you say you left those spells out because they wipe out your tokens. Bonfire doesn't touch your creatures, only those of the player you target with it.
Secondly, Early Harvest doesn't give your opponents mana either. It only untaps basic lands of the player you target, which I don't think you'll ever target your opponents. Another thing you may not realize is that with harvest you can conspire it, let the first resolved, tap all your lands and float mana, then let the second resolve and now you have waaaaaaay more mana than you started with. Of course, its best used with conspire, and if you don't have wort out then you do need a good bit of basics out, so in your build it may not be the best choice, but I do recommend testing it first.

Deadbridge Chant is usually a trap. I've found that most Karador lists, unless you're going for some kind of hyper fast combo, which it seems that you're not, work best as a slow value engine, binning your creatures at a normal pace. Chant and other things that fill your yard quickly often end up with you getting your yard nuked and losing some key cards.

One of my favorite cards now in B decks that have a lot of sacrifice effects is Phyrexian Reclamation. Its pretty good in Kdor and I recommend it highly.

Edit: I've always liked Spike Weaver more than Sporefrog. The way I see it is multiple fogs instead of just one, so if you're in the lead you can hold back many people at once. Plus, he combos with Mikaeus. I mean, I've had several situations pop up where he outperforms the frog. Pretty much everytime I play him he's better.

I think I obviously missed a few good ones here that I didn't even think about, hehe. Looks like Cursed gave me a few ideas that I really missed out on.

    @Hallucinegenia:
Not sure how I missed the Mirran Crusader or Silverblade. I've used them in Ruhan to great effect, they just kind of slipped my mind here. And I'll definitely use the swiftblade, just not sure about the other ones.
I've already got the Hero in and as far as the land grabbers go, I'm kind of keeping my curve really, really tight. I have like...3 cards in the list that are above 4 cmc right now: Aurelia, G-Wave and Urabrask.

So, there was a thread a few days ago about what to play in the higher cmcs of a naya zoo deck. Well, I'm here to ask now what should be played in the lower cmcs. I'm not used to running weenie strategies in EDH, so this is some unfamiliar ground for me. What I'm really looking for is some EDH efficient beaters/hate bears in the 1-3 cmc range. This is what I have so far:

I'm sure there's some other things I'm missing, and some of these I just don't know about running. So, thoughts?

I think some cards to utilize your unnecessary lands would be good, especially if you put in Crucible of Worlds and Life From the Loam.

    Arcane Spyglass
    Constant Mists
    Aura Fracture
    Dust Bowl
    Pegasus Stampede
    Squirrel Wrangler
    Sylvan Safekeeper

And another card that has some pretty nifty applications here is Cloudstone Curio.

    You're obviously new.

You let it roll around the table at 2 then jump it up to 4 and let it roll around again. You loose less things. Then you dump the stack or haze or both next upkeep.

Yeah, I don't play stax much, obviously. I suppose that does work then. *tries to remember to think more before posting*

Get an extra token with bitter blossom and another counter on smokestack

And sacrifice twice as much stuff as everyone else? Somehow I don't think that is what you want to do, buddy. If you have enough fodder for the stack to do this you should be winning already lol

Also MLD. Lots of MLD, followed by turbo ramp.

Dis right here. Once you have her out, geddon and start dropping your dudes. Of course, this works best with a greater amount of small guys.
