overall it was a fail.
We have two stores in my area.
The first store received a single box only. so no box sales. he is only selling a max of 3 packs per customer and the cost per pack was $13 + 12% tax = $14.56. But since it was only a single box I bet by the time I am off work and go to his store he will be sold out.
The other store received 3 boxes and again are not doing box sales. They are holding a fnm draft with them tonight with the packs. He hasn't announced the cost of the draft at this time.
I understand this is a limited print run, but I can not believe how stupidly limited it is.
It blows my mind that your two stores got a total of 4 boxes. I just read a post about a shop and hour or so from here that got 21 CASES of MM. Jeezum, talk about shiesty allocation, Batman!
My LGS got an ok amount. They presold half to "special customers", ie only certain people were even given the option to buy. That sucks. But despite that sucking they are holding the other half for drafting only, and charging $25. Actually pretty sweet. I just found out about this recently, via an announcement that you had to sign up and pay in advance in person. But I couldnt do that either. I stopped by on lunch to sign up, and it turns out they ended up letting people give credit cards aver the phone to secure places. I'll be lucky to get in on one draft before their supply is gone.
Another local shop is doing $40 drafts. No thanks.
Much better image from here, using a flatbed scanner.
I don't think I've *ever* seen anyone capable of taking a focused image with a cell phone camera. It's not that hard, people... stop jamming the camera up an inch or two from the lens. Back it off a little bit, look at the screen to make sure it's focused, and then take the picture. Then you won't have so many people asking [justifiably] if you took the picture with a potato.

Lol, I could not disagree more...
What is it with you self-masochistic people that want all the good cards to be mythics or rares? Do you have more money than you can spend?
I'm sure that in many instances it's "mommy and daddy's money".
Most certainly not NM judging from these photos. It's scuffed a bit, and looks to be a little dirty. Although those pictures arent so great... Id reshoot them either in front of window or outside so that you get good natural lighting. The camera flash doesnt help at all.
Drafted, our table got mostly garbage rares, other pods had foil snapcasters and foil garuks and lillianas
Nice. My event today was sealed, and I got a slightly sub par pool.
Tried to go BW humans with a bit of blue:
Elite Inquisitor, Slayer of the Wicked, Mausoleum Guard, Doomed Traveller, 2 Unruly Mob, Village Cannibals, Invisible Stalker, 2 Delver of Secrets, Rebuke, 2 Smite the Monstrous... but nothing ended up coming together.
Looking back on it I should have splashed G despite a lackluster green pool... I did get the BG dual, Gelatinous Slime, and Gastaf Shepherd... but not much else.
Late to the party, but I really wish they had not reused that horrid art on O-Ring... it is terrible. The FNM/KvD art would have been a nice change, although the Lorwyn art is still the best.
That being said, I am quite pleased to see it back.
+1: Chandra, the Firebrand deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
-2: When you cast your next instant or sorcery spell this turn, copy that spell. You may choose new targets for the spell.
-6: Chandra, the Firebrand deals 6 damage to each of up to 6 target creatures and/or players.

I don't know about anyone else, but I like. A lot. Especially the casting cost.

Rainbow Vale is a nice addition since it makes patriotic mana ( ) and self donates (albeit temporarily). Even if everyone knows what youre up to with Zedruu and makes sure to use it and send it right back to you, you can tap it for mana and send it away again even if you dont spend the mana.
In terms of protecting Zedruu, if you are going the enchantment route there is Diplomatic Immunity. Tutorable through Enlightened Tutor and Wild Research, protects her and itself, and adds to my Serra's Sanctum count. (You have to be running enough enchantments that you dont plan on donating to make the Sanctum really worth it, though.)
For what it's worth, I am really loving Rainbow Vale in my Zedruu setup. It donates on its own, and every once in a while it comes back to you and you can make use of it before 'donating' it again. I am pleased that I've been able to continue my habit of including at least one Fallen Empires card in each of my decks.
And even though it only produces W mana, Serra's Sanctum has been good here, given all of the enchantments flying around.
I see in the build that you have arrest. Why not replace it with prison term? If I'm thinking correctly even if you give it away you still are able to control the second clause? Correct me if wrong.
I'm pretty sure that once you give it away, the person you gave it to has control over the ability. For getting the most out of Zedruu donations, Arrest, Oblivion Ring, Journey to Nowhere, Pacifism, Faith's Fetters, et cetera are all better than Prison Term. Don't get me wrong, I like Prison Term, but you lose control of it's second ability once donated.
Pleased to see Ghostly Prison with the FNM art.
Too bad they didn't do the same for some of the other reprints.
Would have liked to see O Ring with the FNM art, and Path with the Gateway art.
Oh well... can't have it all.
I just hope I'll be able to get the decks I want tomorrow. :/
And I also dislike every deck have a sol ring, that means a 10 years old kid can just own one of the most broken thing in the format and be like "omg turn 2 chameleon colossus next turn I can juss swing u for 8!"
I am really tired of all the Sol Ring Hipsters. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Did you do a draft or sealed? 9 playable flip cards seems pretty high for sealed deck.
