I've gotten into these the last few months. There's a lot of interesting information and things to think about when it comes to most talks. Anyone else watch these? Any particular favorites?
I hate this current patch so much. 6-30 with 4.5 patch. I can't win any game mode. Is this what people call elo hell ???
"ELO-hell" doesn't exist. Its a mindset that keeps anyone from improving. There is obviously something you could be doing better though. Someone has to win each game- so figure out what they're doing to win and follow suit or find a way to beat it.
IGN: Spincow (Green please, I tend not to add random people unless they play/talk beforehand.)
Cop is pretty safe and consistent. I haven't seen him to anything extraordinary when compared to the likes of Sneaky, Turtle, DLift, or QT. But maybe its what Curse needs/ed with playmakers like Voy or IWD. Voyboy hasn't taken the transition to middle well it seems.

I think GLJ said he wasn't going to do start another one. Several people mentioned it wasn't worth starting another one until the new forums started.
So I think it's probably open to whoever wants to do it. Though, personally, as long as GLJ is still keeping the MTGS player list updated, I see zero reason to start another thread just to increment the season number when nothing meaningful to the main post has really happened from Season 3 to Season 4.
I said rename, not make a new thread. I'm sure it would be quite simple to ask a moderator or a forum admin to just change the 3 to a 4 in the thread title. I'm sure that making a new thread would be pointless since this one has, what, over 7000 post. Why break something that's already working? Only thing needed is a small name edit and everything should be fine.
Then its also up to either GLJ or the mods to keep up with the name list and/or other updates to the OP if needed. GLJ has already stated he doesn't want to keep up with the new thread (if there is one) so I can't imagine him wanting to keep up with this one as well.
SHHHH. I don't want others to play her. Fnatic had a great beginning few weeks but has fallen behind. Roccat seems to be the huge underdog and is taking people by surprise.

However, I don't have any experience selling this large/many cards. What sort of shipping (cost/packaging) have you guys done in the past? I added it up all the averages and the total came just shy of 3800. Do you feel you get more for your money if you take it all at once or if you sell each of them as singles?
Tried the ad marks and ls quints setup. I don't get how people always take that set up on adcs. I felt like I did no damage at all in the lane. I'm sticking to full armor penetration page or mixing it with AD quints and armor penetration marks. When I right click people I feel like I do more damage to champions at every stage of the game with armor penetration runes. Barrier sucks also. Took it on my last game for the first time in forever and every time I wished I either had Exhaust for the utility and massive dueling power or Ignite for that early kill. I could have gotten first blood last game if I took either one of those spells.
Well, you don't bring LS quints to do more damage. You bring them to sustain through the ADCs worst time of the game. Of course you'll do more when you have a setup made for it.
Same goes for barrier. ADCs bring it as a safety net. Supports usually bring exhaust for the added utility, but lately quite a large amount of ignites for the early game aggression.
A current hobby of mine. I learned it about 10 years ago and picked it up again a few months back. Figured I'd share a little of what I've been working on. Pictures are a little big, so I'll link to the Imgur album:
Post-reset: man, I forgot what playing with these people is like. Picked Graves (with Thresh, against Ezreal and Leona). Stomped my lane easily - I'm pretty sure everyone else in the game was high bronze/low silver quality.
Get to teamfights - our Singed keeps flipping their Renekton onto our Malzahar whenever Malz goes to ult, then rages at Malz for not ulting well. The other team builds a huge lead picking off my teammates and so on - I have some kills, but I'm getting hung out to dry in fights. I still almost carry the game, since the players on the other team have no idea how to finish a game or what to do with a lead.
Yikes. I haven't seen play this bad since I played duo games with my level 21 friend. Well, the good news is I'm going to be able to carry these games most of the time, at least til I climb out of this tier of poor play.
Now wait a week, as you let the people who are meant to climb do so leaving you stuck with a lot of the people you are currently playing with. I plan on hitting ranked queues a bit this weekend. At least enough to get through my placements.
Calling it now: Amumu becomes the next fotm support.
With the new defense tree masteries and dorans shield being a legit support buy, he can block 14 damage from auto attacks at lvl 1 after armor. He'll come into play when leona and annie finish getting nerfed.
EDward played it during the Vulcun X D.GG vs Gambit match.
Honestly with mummy, his ult and q are THE reason he ever gets played. Getting his ult more often means you team fight more often and with a mummy ult, you win those fights.
Lee sin is my favorite champion. He is very rewarding when played correctly. A good Lee controls and wins the early game. If you don't win the early game Lee becomes useless and the game is very difficult to win late.(you are forced to build tank) While he doesn't have the CC, he has the ability to 4 shot people at level one. You need to take advantage of your early game damage, your passive(a lot of people do not weave autos), and his OP W ability. Practice quick ward jumps in a solo game, grab a friend and practice the W behind > Ult while chasing someone. I spent 3 hours once with a friend where we both just practiced, Get 40% CDR and inventory full of wards and take turns "running away".
By far my favorite champion as well. He does extremely well early to mid game and becomes a utility tank late game if you aren't ahead by then. Even if you do well with him, one bad kick late game can cost you a game. It feels awesome to pull it off though.
Personally, I've been on a little Mid-Malphite kick lately. A little predictable at times, but damn can he explode nearly anyone.
@GLJ's screenshot- I got greedy and failed to get FB against mid Olaf, which he then picked up. I proceeded to go 0-3 against him. A couple well timed ganks from Vi (GLJ) and we were back into it. Was pretty sweet getting matched into the same game on our own duo/trio.
Don't hate the player, hate the game. Serious, it's 100% on Riot. When the dodge penalty is such a joke, this is what you get. The funniest part is that the ARAM forums are flooded with posts about the dodging/smurf problems, but I'm fairly certain a Rioter hasn't gone in there since it was first created.
Its fast. Its fun. Its...oh wait. Its ARAM.
When ARAM was just a custom game using Summoner's Rift, you still had a TON of dodges, a lot of people PICKING their champs (and saying they randomed), and jungling/going to other lanes. At least now they have some sort of penalty. I still enjoy the occasional ARAM to kill some time.
Unless someone is planning on playing them, my go to bans are Annie, Sivir, Kassadin and Lucian.

Also, you're not old. My first 'new' magic cards were from Sixth Edition, right after that first comprehensive rules change. That means I own magic cards older than some of the people in your school.
Have you played an Atari on a TV that still had the little screws in the back rather than A/V plugs? That's 'old school gaming'. Marathon gaming session for me meant passing the controller back and forth on Super Mario Bros. 3 or Legend of Zelda. On the NES.
I remember my first all-nighter 20 years ago when I was 6. My fathers 40th birthday, we tried to rock out through all of SMB 3 and watching the G.I. Joe movie. Even before that, playing Chopper Command on the old Atari system.
New thread topic: Come up with criteria for 'old'. What is 'classic' to you? What is 'old school'?
To me, old school is anything that I grew up with or is 10-15+ years old. Classic, is anything that will survive more than a generation. Zepplin is still known and listened to. 20-30 years from now, I expect it to still be listened to unlike a song like "Applause" from Lady Gaga.
Just rode a 10 loss streak out of promos to silver, straight into bronze 2... I should have known I was in for a bad time on that last one when, despite my streak I was still at the top of the pick order on my team...
I hope they fix the matchmaker soon.
Also, all the ADC's on my team at this level still start Doran's Blade for some godawful reason... not like it was just nerfed into the ground or anything...
PS: I just checked my lolking chart, it looks like Enron... I weep.
Targon's aside, there isn't anything that is set in stone after the last patch. They nerfed Dorans Blade a bit to keep it from being the ONLY start an ADC could go. Now there should be a few options, which will take time to figure out for everyone. I'm personally taking a small break from Ranked until I get used to the preseason changes.
