Murderous Redcap will always be my favorite Magic card. Functionally the card has a multitude of uses. Goblin Tribal decks, Jund Decks, Graveyard Reanimation decks, you name it. He can deal damage to a creature or player when he enters the battlefield and with persist he'll do it again. Finding ways of adding +1/+1 counters to him will keep this little bastard on the board to irritate your opponents for the rest of the game.
And the art is just dripping with flavor...and blood but mostly flavor. You can just see the malicious intent in his eyes. I liked this card so much I rolled up a goblin assassin for a D&D campaign just so I could put the art on my character sheet.
Murderous Redcap excels in both form, function, and flavor.
Fitting in more lands is going to be tough. What is the minimum for a Commander like Breya? 38? 40? I can put in more utility lands like Buried Ruin to help pad this out.
I completely forgot about Riddlesmith and Vedalken Archmage! Thanks! The trick will be to figure out what to drop to fit those in.
Thanks to some very lucky pulls with the latest Modern Masters, I don't have any problems with my land base so washing between 4 colors is not a problem. Where I typically run into trouble is either not being able to outdraw my opponents or having my combo pieces destroyed or wiped away. I included several contingency cards to help with this like Boros Charm and Second Sunrise but fetching for anything outside of artifacts is tricky. So how do I add more card draw spells without having to take out more of my synergistic pieces? It seems like there is not enough room in the deck as it is for other artifacts that I desperately want to run like Mirrorworks and Aetherflux Reservoir. So how can I make sure this deck can withstand the guy at the table playing Yeva, Nature's Herald who is constantly raging against my machine?

There are far better reasons to fire someone from WoTC than slightly misrepresenting a style of clothing *cough*Smuggler's Copter*cough*. Also, Karla Ortiz probably didn't know about Amonkhet when she was commissioned for the artwork so she may have drawn influence from other regions.
Planeswalkers are also not obligated to wear garb typical of their home plane. Take Gideon for example.
Also, Ashiok was drawn to Theros because of the devotion and belief the denizens had there for that plane's gods and the effects that faith had on the Nyx realm. He sought to use his nightmare magic to create a twisted reflection of the faith Therosians had in their gods. Perhaps Ashiok is bitter about his experiences with the Amonkhet pantheon and seeks to undermine the faith on another plane.
Since this plane is under the control of Nicol Bolas, it is likely that these "all-powerful" beings are simply puppets of his will. The best way to remove free will would be to start with the head and replace it with a charismatic and iconic helmet.
Now it's not a new theory that Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver is from Amonkhet given his style of clothing. There might be a connection to his vaporous cranium and the gods of Amonkhet. I would propose that at one time Ashiok was going to ascend and be bestowed with godhood by Nicol Bolas but once he learned what that would entail, he attempted to planeswalk away. Ashiok was not quick enough and the process was partially completed leaving him with only a philtrum, mouth, and possibly ears. This would be a gruesome origin story indeed but not one I would expect to see revealed until Hour of Devastation.
That's why it is quite likely the masterpieces of Ravnica will be two-colored gold cards. Given that there are 10 two-color combinations I would estimate about 5 cards per combination for a total of 50 masterpiece cards. These masterpiece cards (let's call them something like Exemplars or Guild Paragons) will have a unique border but it would be really cool if each guild had a specific border for each.
Below I have compiled a list of 4 possible reprints for each color combination. Why 4? Well the Gearhulks have set a precedent that masterpiece cards can include new cards printed in the very same set. It would not be unlikely that the 5th card for each combination will appear in the 3rd Ravnica set. For my list I did not include planeswalkers as well as legendary creatures or spells that are definitely not from Ravnica like Atarka's Command or Oona, Queen of the Fae. I based this list on the need for a reprint and a personal wish for a Ravnican re-imagining of certain off-world cards like Bloodbraid Elf and Kitchen Finks.
