Is there anyone who would recommend a top 3 of last season to me? I watched "Your lie in April" and Ace of Diamond and Baby Steps. I usually can't stand just watching 1 episode a week, so i'd love to binge on something good.

I started "Pickup girls in Dungeon". I like it but i typically like anime/video game feels to shows.

  • posted a message on Would you rather get a case or six boxes from different cases?
If you buy one case, you are more likely to get playsets of around half the rares for the set and 1 of each mythic plus 1-4 additional mythics. 1 case contains 1.78 sheets. A sheet is 121 cards, 53x2 rares and 15 mythics. You are highly unlikely to get the same foil rares in a case.

The only reason to open 6 boxes from different cases is to hope and pray for the small chance that you can get a playset of 1-2 mythics from them and/or two playsets of certain rares. You have a much smaller chance of opening a playset of a mythic from a sealed case.

Allowing video replay in the feature match area cannot be allowed. It gives those whom the coverage team an advantage. If Chapin does this at any other table other than the feature match one, the ruling is still the same. Allowing replay here gives him an advantage because of whom he is and why he is on camera. We all know he did nothing wrong, but he cannot be treated special because he is a MTG celebrity, which is exactly what allowing camera replays would do.

My brother and I play this almost every night now. He's been playing since alpha, and i abhore what moba's became after DOTA (the WC3 map) became all cuthroat and complex. I love HOTS because i don't want to commit an hour a single map, and it that way it reminds me a lot of CS.

Arcadic#1480 is my battle tag. Feel free to add and friend, cause this game is more fun with people you know/trust than most.

I think comparing a company like blizzard to wotc is like comparing apples to oranges. Blizzard's main source of income is wow which has millions of bot accounts and gold farming accounts, plus multiple accounts for leveling and farming and stuff.

You don't need a huge disposable income to play magic. With $200 a month you can play pretty freely.

200 a month in disposable income? You do realize that 90% of the people who complain about prices and are the ones in need of reprints are lucky to have 50 bucks a month in disposable? Sure, there will always be the people who think this game should be free, but if every person at my fnm spent 50 a week at the lgs, i'd open an lgs right now. I aggressively collect standard to loan out and so i can play any deck i want, and i don't spend anywhere close to 100 a month, except for pre-releases. But no, if everyone just had 200 a month to spend on mtg, the price problem is solved. Get that minimum wage increased stat, we got cardboard to sell.

Oh, and i could easily spend 200 a month on mtg and it not be homeless. The people who love this game but can't pay 200 for a goyf? They don't have anywhere near that amount of disposable cash. I understand life comes first and it sucks for them but MTG is a buisness and will always be one, but WOTC does need to keep the prices in check for new players. Which is impossibly hard, since if they print too many goyfs, LGS's lose lots of money when the prices crash. MTG is an investment. It will always be an investment. You need to pay to play at high levels with top cards. Wizards knows that the slippery slope of printing high dollar cards en-mass is dangerous and could kill the game overnight. My LGS would survive a crash, but some of my best friends who make a LIVING off of dealing magic cards wouldn't. I'm sure many LGS would struggle if every modern card above $20 crashed to $5 over night. I'd personally be hurt if my 10+ years of collecting and spending my hard earned cash became worthless overnight. That's why these prices are going to exist. WOTC knows that the people who INVEST in their game care more about the prices of cards then those who don't.

"I shouldn't have to invents 1k in a game to have fun." Guess what, you don't. You can have plenty of fun without goyfs. If you want to compete, you need to invest.
Every hobby requires an investment, be it 3 bucks for some yarn and needles or 1k for a Warhammer army. See the brilliant part of MTG is that if you invest and want to get out, you can and not lose everything you spent. You'll never break even, but i am willing to pay for entertainment, something that seems to be lost on younger people. I've gladly spent 300 dollars to travel to a GP for a weekend. I'll never get that money back, but i dont care because it was fun. I'll gladly spent 300 on cards i want for decks, because i can always get some of that money back. Money invested into MTG isn't gone. That's the biggest boon to playing the game. Hopefully WOTC can control the super high prices of modern to a reasonable level and keep all of us happy.

Your lie in April finished yesterday. Really really good show

Awesome show, gonna be one of my favorites for a long time.

Ace of Diamond is awesome, can't wait for new episodes.

Baby Steps just started season 2 though, so that should tide me over.

If Damnnation had some alt-art, i'd still think it could be in MM15. Same old art means it most likely is not in it. It's not even a played modern card.

Raw was far and away the best it has been for months and months this week, if you haven't checked in in a while, its highly entertaining even in spite of it being more talking than matches.

I agree with Sene from experience in the format. The center player having the faster deck and being the best player helped all 3 teams ,myself and friends were in, at the last Team Sealed. I also highly recommend a timed practice sealed if you've never done it before. Two teams opened seperate pools, organized them like they were registered and swapped. Have the timer in plain sight, so you can know at all times how the time is passing as you build.

    Krosan Grip

What purpose does this card serve in the sideboard/maindeck of decks that already play 4 maindeck copies of Abrupt Decay The only minor relevant target i can think of is a Sneak Attack Are their other interactions that make this card a worthy sideboard inclusion in GBx decks?

I want the enemy cycle of Future-Shifted lands. Nimbus Maze, Grove, Canopy are a cycle, like it or not. I'd love to see their enemy counterparts.

Other than that, jut give me enemy fastlands.

I don't understand the hate, i'm stoked for the chance to open a foil stamped Clan Leader. Will i likely get a bulk rare, probably. But at least we are going back to something like a normal sealed and not this pick your bomb garbage.

  • posted a message on IYO, what is the greatest story/plot ever told, out of any medium?
Anime : Deathnote is still a great thriller with a perfectly written "choose your own hero/villian" motive. It is very hard to not be emotionally attached to ether protagonist.

Video Game : Max Payne 2. A well written story with a well designed game that simply drags you into the film noir aspect and keeps you entwined with it til the end.

Movie : Lots of great movies, but i still think Guardian's of the Galaxy is the best complete stand-alone movie to be released since the golden age of film, Casablanca and such. You can know absolutely nothing about the movie, setting, history, even that it is a comic book that exists. It perfectly takes you from start to finish, establishes good solid characters, shows you the plot and always makes sure you know exactly why everything is happening and not assuming at all your knoweldge of the universe. You do not need to know who Thanos is, he is perfectly explained and implied of his power without over exposition. Much in the same way the emperor from Star Wars was in the first 2 films.
