because red donks in this > green and red tricks such as land pinger + lunge = invigorate and wild might. Negotiations=twister for good stuff so yeah red>green here. And yeah wild might and razorback needed to be in the playables. But still red donks>green donks
Then you're buying from people you know irl, because i know of three dealers who i've sold too all buying at >.90. Or this is the internet and you're full of ☺☺☺☺
in the events count you have to double-triple queue. At that point there's 4 constructed DE's every 7 hrs. You're actually looking at 10 hrs for 5 events a day. Assuming 3-1 all 5 at an average of 19 tix for 6 packs as ZW=about 6.4 although UUU atm is 12.5 you're actually looking at 65 tix profit per 10 hours. That's at double-triple queuing and having decks for every cons format including legacy. Also assume .92 for tix conversion to $. I mean obv if you can live the dream and can actually 4-0 every one you're doubling that, but I know if I can't put myself at those odds I can honestly doubt any other modo player can either. For every event you 4-0 you will X-2 drop. GL with that, however looking at it as something to do and make money off it is a great way to supplement a job. Personally I double queue and sometimes run cheap poker games on the side. Although I have a new laptop finally so once I get up to speed I may be back to triple + poker.
edit forgot about the free 20 tix every month for MOCS since you will have DI points. Also promo
FoW is 80 tickets a piece online? Amazing how much things have changed.
People still haven't realized they're paying $80......for absolutely nothing. Online shouldn't cost this much anyways. WOTC makes too much of a profit, why not give the userbase a reason to stick around? After all, how expensive can hosting servers be compared to the revenue they make?
At this point WOTC is not printing FoW at all. Any product you buy FROM WotC will not have a FoW in it. Therefore, no matter how much money you spend on WotC products you will not receive a FoW, ever. It is all secondary market, where WOTC makes no money. At all. And yes, 80tix for a 0001010111010101 piece of data, is ridicuous.
Seriously wrong part of the forum for these comments. I mean really MOL has been alive for almost 10 years now and yet the uneducated comments about digital comments still come up.
To the actual comment there are few cards other than FOW that are more online than IRL. I would recommend looking at non blue decks in the format.
Thats the funny thing, aside from the box of zendikar, and 6 boosters of Worldwake, and the alara collection I have, I dont have a ton of extra money to play this game like I would like to. Which has left me highly considering selling what I have and strictly switching to EDH and other casual formats. The last time I bought any games, apart from spending 90 dollars at Toys R Us two weeks ago and getting bad company 2, Army of Two 40th Day, and Dante's Inferno, the last time i bought games was modern warfare 2 before christmas.
And so that means you're scrambling to play standard which means you don't have a shot at legacy even if they reprint stuff, so competitive legacy with or without reprints is out of your league. Therefore this discussion no offense has little need for your point of view. I'm sure some will disagree and think I'm being rude, but honestly we're talking about people who would be spending money on something, or losing money on something to do with legacy and you are neither due to a lack of money/cards.
And retrorobot are you seriously going to say that cards should inherently become worthless after existing for 2-7 years? (rotating out of std/ext) Because what you are suggesting is that legacy should = those formats in price. Which means to do so anything rotating out has to be 0 since legacy = standard/extended always. See where this is going?
It's not unreasonable to ask that the price for entry into Legacy be comparable to that of Standard (or even Extended).
Umm actually it is very unreasonable that the price for entry for legacy be the same as standard or extended. Because you don't get 15 years of cards for the same price as 2 or 7. I'm sorry, but no you don't get to play in tournaments, because you don't own the cards. If you don't own the cards for standard you don't get to play there, so why would you think you should get to play in legacy if you don't buy the cards.
Also fatguy thoughts on the reasoning behind this being so that WOTC can put legacy online where they do get to sell the packs and actually make money on legacy? That really seems to me at least to be a good part of the reason the list is being held up. I mean in fairness I agree with it anyway, but honestly I think WOTC wants to make money and will end up making more money selling legacy on MOL than in IRL.
I' confuzzled you listed dragon's claw as a possible sideboard card and then decline to put it in the list vs RDW which is it's reason for being a SB card.
Magic Workstation looks awesome! Can it be played agaisnt other opponents?
I suppose what I really hope for is a sequel to the MicroProse game Duels of the Plainswalkers. That had the perfect mix of everything I was looking for, and had all cards free within the game. Of course it was also different enough so as not to draw upon the same crowd which may play MTGO.
Again, if you could add a single zero onto the end of the card number restriction in Plainswalkers, it would be my dream game for life.
In the mean time though Magic Workstation may be just what I was looking for! I am downloading it as we speak!

Kyle
great another cheapass that sponges off WOTC Now he can "collect" all the cards for free
Crypt says pay 2 colorless add 1 black mana for every black creature in your graveyard
so first turn crypt(no one drops in his deck)
second turn hexmage which is probably going to eat removal
3rd turn gatekeeper or fleshbag marauder
4th tendrils one of their creatures
5th crypt should be able to produce at least 4 mana and without a land drop that will leave you with 7 mana not missing a land drop which can either be used for mindsludge, i think kalitas is 7, if not a bloodwitch, sorin, liliana, or Obnixilis which any of those will be a devasting 5th turn drop...
and with liliana and sorin on the board which one are you going to answer?
have you read crypt? if so try again, and if not RTFC
Louisiana didn't have a huge turnout (80 people) because it snowed the night before. I got 15th (4-1-2). I am too nice to people and let some ☺☺☺☺head go to the bathroom during the round. He was just doing it to stall the game and get a draw. I played Bant with Mind Spring and was pretty happy with how the deck worked out.
You know that when that happens you have to call a judge over and they give out time extensions = to the amount of time he was in the bathroom for.

But seriously, don't flame other users.

Yeah that was me I was waiting on my finals match since eldrazi green vs boros took forever.
