  • posted a message on Odd request, but could somebody give me a hand making a logo?
    I know this is a sort of odd request, but I was wondering if somebody can help me make a logo based on one of my playgroup's memes.

    I was hoping to get something made in the style of the 1990's Canucks logo but with the word Canuck replaced with Not Last Place. And instead of the skate design, maybe something more mtg oriented.

    Thanks!

    Kyoani no Katana (ya ok I know what it is really called)...I dunno. I watched to ep 5. It's not really grabbing me much, but then again Kyoani's stuff with like K-On and the like have always had this "boring" element to it that you generally can't get rid of. I really don't know what to say about it though.

    Kill la Kill is still amazing. I'm convinced that Trigger wanted to make it as ridiculous as Gurren Lagaan too. Dunno how it's gonna end though, including that thing with Mako. Then again, it would be hilarious to see galaxy shuriken again. XD

    I'm watching Madoka this saturday! weeeeeeeeee

    It takes a while to get into Kyokai no Kanata, but the final arc seems to be better storywise than the rest of the season.

    Agree agree agree. I've always had a softspot for KyoAni and have loved some of their more "boring" series (Hyouka being a good example; the cultural festival arc was great storytelling and could've lasted another seven episodes in my eyes). But Kyoukai no Kanata takes the "boring" cake. It has all the great KyoAni hallmarks, like meticulous storyboarding -- so many insignificant background elements animated! -- but the story...ugh....

    yeah, the story's not great (although I really liked the one where had to defeat the youmu by dancing)

    It's good that KyoAni is doing something a little different while putting their distinctive moe flavor on it.

    Last ep of Kill La Kill was incredibly good though.

    from rags to riches back to rags again.

    it was a pretty fast paced ep, definitely one of the better eps of the season

    What about Rubblebelt Raiders? It is a cheap card that do well with Nylea. Arbor Colossus and Pit Fight should be considered for removal.

    it also helps out with devotion big time, that's a pretty good suggestion.

    I believe there's a deck like this that won an SCG event, the only difference is that there are 4 mutavaults.

    there are 2 ways you can go:
    1) stick with the heroic theme, if you want to do that, I would suggest swapping blue for green (green has unflinching courage and selesnya charm) both solid choices to trigger heroic. You can also add Phlanx Leader whose heroic ability is a boon to your entire team and Favored Hopalite, he can lead to some neat tricks with heroic
    2) just make it better, since you have 2x of the event deck that shouldn't be too rough for you. I'd suggest U/ aggro. Try to get 4x of Soldier of the Pantheon. 2-3 Spear of Heliod will be a solid option too, it can "buff" your entire team. Maybe get a 3rd tor 4th precinct captain as well. Since all of your guys are white, Brave the Elements might also be a solid option.

    SOOOOOOOoooo? Which aggressive strategy is your fave?

    I'm being facetious, of course. This online meta sucks and is no fun at all. Every deck, EVERY DECK, is aggro. You have to join or die, so i'm choosing to sit out for a while.

    I 3-1'd (all games against aggro) the other day with a Dega control deck, but thats the only decent posting with a non-aggro deck in a while, for me. I dont fault people for playing what wins, but goddamn is this game now the most boring game on the planet. I'd rather play Go Fish with my nephew.

    Look at that listing. All mono blue up top, with other aggro's sprinkled in. One lucky SOB with UW control fought must have had everyone he played mulligan.

    Running into a fast aggro deck every now and again used to be fun, but this is ridiculous. Strategy card game? Rrrright.

    This game has turned into, who goes first wins. So you better work on your random dice rolling skills, kids!

    Wah wah wah, quit whining and play a deck with Anger of the Gods in it. Last week all the 4-0s were Mono B devotion and midrange decks. In 3 Standard dailies last week, I played against 9 Mono B decks. If you don't realize that the mtgo meta changes this fast, quit playing. It will be midrange next week, and control the week after that and aggro the week after that. Play what you like, and shut up.

    You clearly read next to nothing i wrote, or you just cant comprehend words. I'm pretty sure i said i dont fault people for playing what wins.

    The whole point was that aggro is boring as hell to play and play against. All the aggro has sucked out the fun. You would have noticed that was the meaning, if you werent an idiot.

    He's terrible, don't encourage him.

    Quote from NoHeavenNoHell
    Given your impeccable grammar, clearly my inferior intellect is unable to comprehend your original meaning, and I apologize. I (and most other people) are clearly all idiots by adapting to the MTGO metagame each week.

    If you are that bad of a player to not be able to beat any variant of aggro in standard right now, you should probably just stop.

    OK, I'm going to close this, there's no good that's coming from this.

    It's tough to get a perfect fit, but here are my suggestions based on rules text. Some card names really don't fit though...

    F/SN
    Bonus:
    F/Z
    Saber = Colossal Whale
    Archer = Mageta the Lion
    Lancer = Hateflayer
    Berserker = Thornling
    Rider = Hero of Bladehold
    Caster = Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver
    Assassin = Pack Rat

    I like the one for the F/z assassin Grin

    Saber could also be silverblade paladin
